The main GPP has $100,000 going to first place, with a total of $300,000 being paid out. Here I will offer the fighters I feel have the most upside for MMA DFS purposes. Core UFC DFS Plays
Max Holloway | DraftKings: $8,900, FanDuel $21
Holloway is one of the best strikers in the featherweight division. He has phenomenal cardio and excellent foot work, although the one problem Holloway has at times is being very hittable. However, I expect Holloway to be motivated and focused after his recent back-to-back losses. Furthermore, we should see a striking battle for five rounds, and both fighters are in play, with my lean being Holloway. Awesemo’s UFC DFS Projections give Holloway 58% win odds.
Calvin Katter | DraftKings: $7,600, FanDuel: $18
Kattar was a phenomenal wrestler in high school, although he has not incorporated the wrestling in his professional game plans. He prefers the boxing over the grappling in his fights. Kattar is solid striker and has big power in his hands. I expect Katter will look to keep this fight standing, using his excellent footwork to keep Holloway at distance. Our UFC DFS projections give Kattar 42% win odds. This fight is 100% stackable in cash games, and if playing multiple lineups, taking a few shots in GPP could be a good way to be contrary.

Carlos Condit | DraftKings: $8,700, FanDuel: $20
Condit seems to have returned to form after his win against Court McGee back in October. Prior to that win, Condit was on a five-fight losing streak. This should be an exciting fight, with two veterans of the sport facing off against one another. Condit is a solid striker with power strikes, with which he effectively attacks his opponents’ body and causes damage. Our UFC DFS projections give Condit 61% win odds and a 35% chance for a knockout.
Carlos Felipe | DraftKings: $8,600, FanDuel: $16
Felipe is coming into this matchup with a win via decision against Yorgan De Castro back in October 2020. He will come forward while throwing big shots, looking to end his opponent’s night in a hurry. Felipe is a volume striker with good power, although he does not have that huge one-punch knockout strength. That said, Felipe does have six wins via knockout. So, I expect Felipe to push the pace, looking to damage Justin Tafa with his power body shots. Awesemo’s UFC DFS Projecting give Felipe 64% win odds with a 35% chance for a knockout.

Punahele Soriano | DraftKings: $7,700, FanDuel: $12
Soriano made his UFC debut at UFC 245 in December 2019 with a win via first-round knockout over Oskar Piechota. Soriano is a dangerous striker with first-round knockout power. His $7,700 price tag makes him a solid value play, and he has big upside and ability to finish fights in the first round. With the new 60-second scoring bonus on DraftKings, Soriano is one fighter I expect to secure that bonus. Our UFC DFS projections give Soriano 41% win odds.
