This is a huge opportunity for Chandler’s career though, with one fight in the UFC and finds himself fighting for the title. I am sure Chandler will be well prepared for this title fight, and in the best shape of his career. I expect Chandler will come out with an aggressive and blitzing pace, throwing heavy hands looking to test Oliveira’s chin often. Mid-Range Plays
Shane Burgos | DraftKings: $8,400, FanDuel: $20
Burgos is coming into this matchup off of a disappointing decision loss to Josh Emmett in June. In Burgos’ two fights prior, he had a decision win over Cub Swanson and a third-round knockout win over Makwan Amirkhani at UFC 244 in November. I expect this fight will be a high-level striking match and Burgos will bring heavy pressure and push the pace. Furthermore, Burgos’ heavy pressure can break his opponents and I expect Burgos has a good shot at breaking Edson Barboza with smothering pressure. Mike Grundy | DraftKings: $8,200, FanDuel: $17
This is a great matchup for Grundy, facing Lando Vannata, who has struggled against wrestlers over his career. He is an elite wrestler, and has eight wins via submission, one via knockout and three via decision. I expect Grundy will bring a heavy wrestling game and is live for a submission win. However, Vannata will be the better striker of the two, but I expect Grundy will be relentless with his takedowns and this fight plays out on the mat. Tony Ferguson | DraftKings: $7,600, FanDuel: $13
Ferguson is a well-rounded fighter. His striking is dangerous, and his submission game is phenomenal. That said, Ferguson has started to fade as of late, losing a decision to Charles Oliveira and suffering a beating at the hands of Justin Gaethje. However, if Ferguson can return to his dominant form, then this should be a striking battle for the ages. Ferguson is a solid value play at $7,600 and could break the slate.
