Today we are back in Las Vegas with the featured match of UFC Vegas 30 being Gane vs. Volkov. Core Plays
Charles Rosa | DraftKings: $8,600, FanDuel: $18
Rosa will hold the striking advantage over Justin Jaynes and cardio as well. He will need to avoid the early rush from Jaynes in the first round, which his durability suggests he can. Rosa has three wins via knockout, eight via submission and two via decision. He is a UFC veteran, sticking with fundamentals when he steps into the octagon. Rosa is a dangerous submission specialist, with 50% of his professional wins coming via submission. Awesemo’s UFC DFS DraftKings and FanDuel projections give Rosa 62% win odds.

Mid-Range Plays
Ciryl Gane | DraftKings: $8,700, FanDuel: $20
Gane has a background in Muay Thai and is extremely dangerous when the fight hits the mat. He is coming into this matchup with a decision win over Jairzinho Rozenstruik in February. Gane moves extremely well for a heavyweight, while his movement is hard for his opponents to deal with. Alexander Volkov will look to slow his opponents down before going for the finish. However, Gane might be too fluid for Volkov to handle and could possibly outclass him for three rounds. Awesemo’s UFC DFS projections give 59% win odds.
Tim Means | DraftKings: $8,400, FanDuel: $16
Means comes into this matchup on a decision win over Mike Perry at UFC 255. He is averaging 5.16 significant strikes per minute. Means looked good in his last outing, where he landed 128 significant strikes. He has won three out of his last five fights inside the octagon. That said, I expect Means striking to outclass Nicolas Dalby, while his power should put Dalby’s lights out during the early exchanges. Awesemo’s UFC DFS projections give Means 56% win odds.

Value Plays
Danilo Marques | DraftKings: $8,000, FanDuel: $14
Marques will be a risky value play on this slate. However, Marques has solid upside with his submission game. He is a black belt in jiu-jitsu training out of Demian Maia academy. If Marques can avoid Kennedy Nzechukwu power early and drag Nzechukwu to the mat, then it seems unlikely Nzechukwu will make it off the mat without being chocked out. Have shares of Nzechukwu if building multiple lineups, because he is live for a knockout if Marques can not get this fight to the mat. Awesemo’s UFC DFS projections give Marques 45% win odds.
