Welcome to The Takedown, UFC fans. This weekend there is a 12-fight card in Las Vegas at the Apex. UFC Vegas 25 should be an exciting card, with DraftKings and FanDuel having some solid MMA DFS contest. Here I offer the fighters I feel have the most upside for UFC DFS purposes. With the help of Awesemo’s expert UFC DFS projections, let’s dig into some MMA DFS picks and analysis for UFC Vegas 25.
UFC Vegas 25: Reyes vs. Prochazka | UFC DFS Picks
Core MMA DFS Plays
Merab Dvalishvili | DraftKings: $9,000, FanDuel: $23
Dvalishvili seemingly has a gas tank that never empties. He has huge power and is extremely fast, while pushing forward with smothering pressure. Dvalishvili has big takedown upside and will look to get this fight to the mat multiple times. However, Cody Stamann is a solid wrestler and could possibly stuff some of Dvalishvili’s takedown attempts. That said, with Dvalishvili’s wild pace and solid cardio, Dvalishvili should wear on Stamann the longer this fight goes. Awesemo’s UFC DFS DraftKings and FanDuel projections give Dvalishvili 71% win odds.
Mid-Priced MMA DFS Picks
Luana Pinheiro | DraftKings: $8,500, FanDuel: $17
Pinheiro is making her UFC debut, coming into this fight with six consecutive first-round finishes. She had no problems running through her opponents on Dana White’s Contender Series. Pinheiro has solid judo and has been practicing judo since she was a youngster. She is an extremely aggressive fighter and will bring constant pressure. That said, Randa Markos could cause problems for Pinheiro on the mat. However, Pinheiro’s judo and aggressive style will be too much for Markos to overcome. Awesemo’s UFC DFS DraftKings and FanDuel projections give Pinheiro 60% win odds.
Ion Cutelaba | DraftKings: $8,200, FanDuel: $15
Cutelaba is coming into this fight off a knockout loss against Magomed Ankalaev. That said, Cutelaba should be highly motivated to get back in the win column. Dustin Jacoby is taking this fight on short notice, which leads one to wonder just how well prepared he will be for the power of Cutelaba. Cutelaba has 12 wins via knockout, two via submission and one via decision. He has an arsenal of power punches that could end Jacoby’s night in a hurry. Awesemo’s UFC DFS projections DraftKings and FanDuel give him 57% win odds with a 48% chance for a knockout.

Value Picks
TJ Brown| DraftKings: $7,800, FanDuel: $14
Brown is the bigger fighter and a much better grappler. That said, brown will have two inches of height, 4.5 inches of reach advantage over Kai Kamaka. Brown has yet to taste victory in his UFC career thus far. However, I expect Brown will look to get this fight to the mat early and often. Furthermore, Brown is training with James Krause and we should expect a much better game plan in this fight. Brown is dangerous grappler, which I expect him to ride to victory at UFC Vegas 25. Awesemo’s UFC DFS projections DraftKings and FanDuel give Brown 42%win odds.
