Luptia Godinez | DraftKings: $8,600, FanDuel: $18
Godinez is coming into this matchup off a super-tight spilt-decision loss against Jessica Penne. I expect Godinez will dictate the tempo with her pressure and overwhelm Silvana Gomez Juarez with her volume. Godinez should be able to take Juarez to the mat with relative ease. I expect Godinez will find the takedowns early, making it a long night for Juarez and could end in a late finish for Godinez. For DFS, Godinez is a solid mid-priced play, due to her high volume and takedown upside. Awesemo’s UFC DFS projections give Godinez 72% win odds.
Mackenzie Dern | DraftKings: $8,200, FanDuel: $20
Dern is coming into this matchup off a spectacular display of grappling against Nina Nunes, locking in a first-round submission to seal the victory. Dern will need to keep her reckless striking under control against Rodriguez, who could have some great opportunities to win the fight if Dern comes out with reckless abandon in this fight. That said, I expect Dern will look to take this fight to the mat early and often. For DFS, if Dern can get this fight to the mat early and lock in a first-round submission, she will land in the optimal lineup. Awesemo’s UFC DFS projections give Dern 63% win odds.

Gooden can get the knockout on the feet, and I expect this fight to be much closer than Vegas anticipates. For DFS, Gooden is a risky value play, but Gooden has the potential to score well and be in the optimal lineup with an early knockout. My prediction is Gooden with a second-round knockout.
