Top-End UFC Picks

Alexander Romanov | DraftKings: $9,600, FanDuel: $23

Romanov is coming into this matchup on four-fight winning streak — one via knockout, two via submission and one via decision. This fight with Chase Sherman is clearly a mismatch, with Romanov’s being the better striker and the superior wrestler. For UFC DFS today, Romanov’s is a solid play in all formats. Romanov will look to shoot early and drag Sherman to the canvas and rain down nasty ground-and-pound while looking to lock in a submission. Awesemo’s MMA projections give Romanov 93% win odds with a 80% chance for a knockout.

Tyson Pedro | DraftKings: $9,300, FanDuel: $21

Pedro’s last appearance in the octagon was 2018, where he got TKO’d by Shogun Rua after blowing out his knee, which he spent a year recovering from. He will absolutely have ring rust, after a three-year layoff. However, Pedro is a natural finisher, with two wins via knockout and five via submission. Isaac Villanueva has five losses via submission, and Pedro has the technique to put Villanueva on the canvas and finish him early. For MMA DFS lineups, Pedro is a solid play in all formats due too his finishing abilities. Awesemo’s UFC projections give Pedro 84% win odds with 70% chance for a knockout.

Romanov was one of the top fighters popping in the Awesemo MMA DFS optimizer projections today. He’s a top UFC Pick for this slate. Check out all of our free fantasy MMA DFS Picks and projections in our DraftKings UFC DFS Cheat Sheet and FanDuel UFC DFS Cheat Sheet.

Mid-Range UFC Picks

Evan Elder | DraftKings: $8,00, FanDuel: $15

Elder went 6-1 as an amateur, losing only to Luis Pena, before turning professional in 2018. He has a nasty jab with solid power, with precise timing in his striking. Elder spent most of his career at Shamrock FC, but also had a stint at FAC promotion, in which he has a title fight scheduled for May. He will be making his UFC debut tonight against Preston Parsons. If Elder can keep this fight standing, he will have a clear advantage on the feet with his solid boxing. For UFC DFS, Elder is a solid play, due to his finishing abilities. Awesemo’s UFC  projections give Elder 45% win odds with a 30% chance for a knockout.

UFC Value Picks

Philipe Lins | DraftKings: $7,800, FanDuel: $11

Lins moving from heavyweight to light heavyweight could pay off nicely with a solid performance. His hand speed and footwork should be more on point, with his power being a big advantage at a lighter weight. Lins has excellent hand speed and tends to land heavy shots, he will use solid leg kicks and his damaging jab to manage range. His hand speed, solid head movement, and countering abilities should pay big dividends with Marcin Prachnio overeager striking. For UFC fantasy, Lins is a solid value play with nice upside. Awesemo’s MMA fantasy projections give Lins 47% win odds.
