UFC DFS Champion Picks

Derrick Lewis | Multiplier 1.65

Lewis is extremely athletic for a heavyweight. He throws pure power shots that will put his opponents lights out. That said, Oleinik is a submission artist. If can get this fight down to the mat, he could lock in a submission. But I expect the most likely outcome to be Lewis getting the knockout; Oleinik has been knocked out two of his last four fights. Lewis happens to be Awesemo’s highest-projected fighter in the Champion spot with 65% win odds.

Beneil Dariush | Multiplier 1.80

Dariush has a huge edge on the ground. He is on a four-fight win streak, two of the four being submission victories. Scott Holtzman has a chance on his feet, though I expect Dariush to take this fight to the mat. Dariush’s last fight was a knockout win in the second round, so he definitely has the momentum coming into this fight. Awesemo’s projections have Dariush as the fourth-highest-projected fighter on the slate in the Champion spot with 63% win odds,

UFC DFS Super Flex Picks

Nasrat Haqparast | Multiplier 1.10

Haqparast is coming in off a brutal knockout loss against Drew Dober, though in this fight with Alex Munoz, Haqparast will have a big edge on the feet. Haqparast’s speed and power will be too much for the debuting Munoz to withstand. Haqparast’s hand speed and power are elite, his counter-striking is solid and he has some of the most devastating hands in the lightweight division. Awesemo’s UFC fighter projections give Haqparast 68% win odds.

Tim Means | Multiplier 1.35

Means looked bad in his last fight, but I expect him to come into this fight well prepared for Laureano Staropoli. He will be the more experienced fighter and the more polished striker. In this fight, I expect to see a striking war, which would provide solid upside for DFS purposes. Awesemo’s projections give Means 44% win odds. This is a risky play, but the upside is worth a few shots.

Aleksei Oleinik | Multiplier 1.45

Oleinik is a dangerous submission artist. He has some of the best submissions seen inside the octagon. If Oleinik can get Lewis on the mat and keep him there for any length of time, he could easily lock in a submission. I expect Oleinik to be shooting for takedowns and looking to lock in a submission on the mat. This is a risky play, but it could pay off huge with a submission win. Awesemo’s projections give Oleinik 35% win odds.
