Value abounds on today’s slate with much of it coming from the Grand Canyon State, as Devin Booker’s injury opens a lot of opportunity.  Aaron Gordon, Kevin Love, and Lonzo Ball all remain out as well leading to some decent plays in Cleveland, Orlando and LA. There are currently no other high profile questionables but as always, stay alert in the hours leading up to lock.
Tyler Ulis (4200 DK, 3700 FD) and T.J. Warren (6700 DK, 6800 FD) : When a star who shoots as much as Booker is ruled out, that creates considerable opportunity for his teammates. Although all Suns should see usage bumps, my focus here will be on Ulis and Warren.  Booker has recently been spending most of his time at PG so Ulis will be replacing him in the starting lineup, but its very unlikely that Ulis will take anywhere near the 19 field goal attempts that Booker averages. Instead, expect Warren, the Suns’ second-leading scorer behind Booker, to shoulder that load. I’m going to have lots of Warren everywhere. Ulis is a must play on FD but there’s some wiggle room on DK because of the higher price.  % Top-3 Value: Warren 30.9% DK, 50.3% FD; Ulis 18.2% DK; 37.2% FD.
Isaiah Thomas (6200 DK, 6500FD) and Tristan Thompson (4400 DK, 4700 FD): The sites still haven’t adjusted their pricing for Thompson and Thomas to reflect Kevin Love’s absence, likely because Thomas has been on quite the cold streak since Love went down (23 of 72 FGs) and Thompson isn’t the sexy play that DFS’ers love. These are exactly the types of inefficiencies I love to exploit.  Just as with Ulis and Warren, Thompson will benefit from increased playing time as Love’s direct replacement but Thomas will consume much more of his lost usage.  % Top-3 Value: Thompson 26.9% DK, 36.5% FD; Thomas 25.6% DK; 30.9% FD.
