DraftKings and FanDuel NBA Slam Dunks, Thursday 2/22

Coming back from the All-Star break there is some uncertainty about how rotations around the league will change.  Information is often unreliable like Vucevic and Gordon not playing “heavy minutes” today, and sometimes it’s intended to be deceiving!  Another person on my radar is Frank Mason for the Kings, who will probably start, but after missing so many games, how much will he play?

Emmanuel Mudiay (4400 DK, 4600 FD) – Reports came out that Mudiay practiced with the starters over the ASB. That’s enough info for me to feel confident he will be starting. I think Jarrett Jack will fall out of the rotation probably, with Ntilikina picking up backup PG and SG minutes. That leaves a lot of minutes for Mudiay. Mudiay’s price is way too low for a starter with his level of production, so I think he’s a great play today. Probability of top 3 positional value: DK 27.4%, FD 31.65%.

Lou Williams (6900 DK, 7000 FD) – With Avery Bradley sidelined for this game and Ty Wallace starting, I feel like Williams will get a few more minutes tonight compared to the post trade deadline games. An uptempo matchup with the Warriors is the perfect scenario for Williams to light up the box score. Probability of top 3 value: DK 27.2%, FD 31.5%.

D’Angelo Russell (5600 DK, 6100 FD) – At this point it’s unclear whether or not Russell will reclaim his starting role now that he’s worked his way back from injury. Over his last few games, he has averaged slightly less than 28 MPG. Averaging over a fantasy point per minute for the season, his price hasn’t risen enough to account for his increased minutes and high production. Probability of top 3 value: DK 34.8%, FD 27.85%.
