High-Upside NBA Daily Fantasy Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel Lineups Tonight | 3/26/22

This seven-game NBA slate features a few questionable superstars that will change the outlook if they are ruled out. Most notably being Giannis Antetokounmpo. Stay up to date on Awesemo’s NBA Starting Lineups page to find out who is in and out tonight. These plays below are driven by Awesemo’s NBA DFS Boom/Bust Tool as we narrow down three boom and one bust play. Yes, Giannis is involved.

Boom/Bust NBA Daily Fantasy Projections & Picks Today

Boom: Tyus Jones: $5,100 DraftKings/$5,300 FanDuel

47.6% DraftKings Boom/39.1% FanDuel Boom

We know the deal by now. With Ja Morant out, play Tyus Jones. It is as simple as that. Jones has started in four of the Grizzlies last five games. During those starts, he is averaging 12 points, 8.3 assists, and 30.2 DraftKings points per game. The best part is this game is projected to be close with the Grizzlies are two-point favorites. Jones lost several minutes as the Grizzlies have won those four games by an average of 24.8 points. Awesemo projects Jones to be the best value play on FanDuel and second-best on DraftKings.

The salary on Jones seems a little too cheap despite playing against the Bucks defense. Jones will be heavily involved as this game has the highest total on the entire slate at 233.5 points. If you need a larger sample size, Jones is averaging 28.6 DraftKings points per game in 18 games without Morant this season. He will be very popular as he leads the slate in ownership on DraftKings and is second on FanDuel in our ownership projections. Jones has a good amount of upside for tournaments and is great for cash games.

Boom: Kevin Love: $5,100 DraftKings/$4,600 FanDuel

35.5% DraftKings Boom/39.1% FanDuel Boom

Certainly did not expect Kevin Love to be one of the better options tonight, but here we are. The Cavaliers are still without Jarrett Allen, while Love has stepped up in a big way. He has scored over 30 DraftKings points in three of his last four games and ranks second in terms of usage rate with Allen off the floor this season. FanDuel is where to get the most exposure to Love as he comes in third with boom percentage in our Boom/Bust Tool. Love is also popping in our projections as the second-best value behind Jones on FanDuel.

This matchup against the Bulls features the second-lowest total on the slate at 222.5 points. Even with their 42-31 record, the Bulls rank 21st in Defensive Rating this season. They also allow the seventh-most points in the paint this season with 49.5 per game. Both Love and Evan Mobley are so versatile, they will attack the best possible matchup in the interior. If Love matches up against any of the Bulls power forwards and not Nikola Vucevic, look for a huge night. The salary is way too cheap for how he is playing lately.

Boom: Giannis Antetokounmpo: $11,800 DraftKings/$11,400 FanDuel

51.9% DraftKings Boom/47.8% FanDuel Boom

The biggest news on this slate is the status of Giannis Antetokounmpo. He along with his teammates Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton have been in and out of the Bucks lineup for about a week now. Holiday has already been ruled out for tonight, while Giannis is questionable and Middleton is probable. This is a crucial spot to monitor the starting lineup and news. Giannis leads the slate on both DraftKings and FanDuel with the highest boom percentage in our Boom/Bust Tool. If he plays, he is a great option.

The upper pricing tier is loaded with talent and a few of the best fantasy options in the league. Nikola Jokic leads the way in pricing on both sites, but the Nuggets are 15-point home favorites. This is a tough spot for Giannis as the Grizzlies have been solid defensively, especially with Steven Adams planting his flag in the middle of the paint. However, Giannis is as consistent as they come. Over the last 11 games he has played since the All-Star Break, Giannis has one game where he scored under 52 DraftKings points.

Bust: Kyrie Irving: $10,900 DraftKings/$10,600 FanDuel

67.0% DraftKings Bust/67.2% FanDuel Bust

Even though his last four games have been sporadic in terms of timing, Kyrie Irving has been electric during that time. The Nets have gone 3-1 over that stretch with Irving averaging 43.8 points and 65.6 DraftKings points per game while shooting 60.1% from the field and 60.9% from behind the arc. Irving has made an absurd seven 3-pointers per game with a 34.1% usage rate. Incredible stats, so why fade?

The salary. It has gotten to a point where it is simply too high and is weighing down the upside that Irving has. That and the fact the Nets are slowly getting healthier with Seth Curry and Goran Dragic being able to play. Kevin Durant also is highly involved in everything the Nets do offensively. Next, the Heat present a difficult matchup. The Heat rank in the top five in defensive rating, points allowed, and assists allowed. Irving has been fantastic lately, but this price tag is too high. He has a D value in our Fantasy Basketball Rankings as well.
