Jordan Clarkson
FD: $4300 | Fpts: C | Value: A
DK: $5000 | Fpts: C | Value: B
With George Hill and Jose Calderon both out, Clarkson will have to shoulder a huge load as the non-LeBron primary ballhandler. In games without just George Hill, Clarkson has seen his assist rate double. He should easily see 30 minutes, which is a Slam Dunk at his salary, particularly on FanDuel.
Shabazz Napier (FD only)
FD: $3600 | Fpts: C | Value: A
DK: $5300 | Fpts: C | Value: C
Nothing elaborate here. Shabazz Napier will be playing big minutes with Damian Lillard out, and he’s priced $100 above minimum on FanDuel. Napier’s fantasy points per minute (.837 -> .956) has increased by 14% in the games without Lillard. An average performance is an amazing night at his price. Sorry to everyone on DraftKings. He’s just not the same at $5300.
C.J. McCollum
FD: $7200 | Fpts: B | Value: A
DK: $7500 | Fpts: A | Value: B
If you need someone from Portland on either site, then McCollum is your guy. With Lillard out, McCollum sees a huge usage increase (26.6% – > 32.2%) and a similarly sized fantasy points per minute increase (.934 -> 1.09). Oh, by the way, he also increases his rebound and assist rates. C.J. has the keys to the kingdom tonight in Houston.
Rudy Gobert (DK only)
FD: $9000 | Fpts: A | Value: B
DK: $7400 | Fpts: B | Value: B
That’s not a typo. While Gobert has better visual grades on FanDuel than DraftKings, because of positional flexibility and other price differences, Gobert is a much better play on DK. While DeAndre Jordan has a reputation as a good defender at Center, the Clippers have given up a lot of high scoring nights to big men since the All-Star Break. With the ability to play more than one Center on DK, Gobert becomes an absolute Slam Dunk at his lowest price since March 3.
