We’re going to review the basics, including how JockMKT differs from making regular NBA DFS picks, and how it aligns with the fantasy basketball games you already know. Now, let’s get into the best Jock MKT NBA picks for Tuesday, March 2.
The Jock MKT Starter Kit: NBA DFS Picks | March 2
How to Play at Jock MKT
To begin, enter the NBA Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is under way. Leading up until the start of the first game, bid up on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging all the way up to $25. See potential injury news that could open up an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the back-up, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.
The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike in regular NBA DFS where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done all the way up until the final buzzer of the night’s final game.
At the end of the games, each player share is paid out based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. It’s as simple as that! For more information, go to jockmkt.com.

Strategy Session — Stars Galore
Despite there only being six games on the schedule, there are still a ton of top-tier options to set your sights on during the IPO phase. The question is, which ones do you go after? A lot of the top players are up against good defensive teams. For example, LeBron James will be facing a Suns team that has the fourth-best defensive rating in the league. Trae Young will be facing the Heat, who have the seventh-best defensive rating. Finally, Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal will take the floor against a Grizzlies team that has the ninth-best defensive rating.
If you’re looking to latch onto a superstar, or two, who might not have as tough of a matchup, consider Giannis Antetokounmpo. His opponent will be the Nuggets, who will be playing shorthanded because of injuries and COVID-19 issues on the team. This could also be an opportune night to pursue Bam Adebayo. His opponent will be the Hawks, who have the eighth-worst defensive rating. When he faced them Sunday, he produced 16 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks with Jimmy Butler (knee) out. Butler is listed as questionable for their rematch, and if he sits, Adebayo is even more appealing.
My Targets for Tonight
Khris Middleton – The Nuggets had no answer for Middleton the last time these two teams met. He dominated in what was a 13-point win for the Bucks, recording 29 points, 8 rebounds, 12 assists and 3 steals. Jrue Holiday (COVID-19) did make his return Sunday versus the Clippers, but he only played 18 minutes off the bench. Expect him to play limited minutes again Tuesday, which would again leave Middleton as Giannis’ primary running mate.
Jonas Valanciunas – The Wizards do not have great options at the center spot. They have basically been plugging a hole at the position by rotating minutes between Moritz Wagner, Robin Lopez and Alex Len. That’s part of the reason why they have allowed the fourth-most rebounds per game in the league. Enter Valanciunas, who is quietly having a great season, with averages of 15.8 points and 11.1 rebounds. This mismatch could lead to a juicy stat line.
Monte Morris – As previously mentioned, the Nuggets are going to be working with a limited depth chart for this game. They will be especially thin at guard with Gary Harris, Facundo Campazzo and R.J. Hampton all out. That should mean plenty of playing time for Morris, who has averaged 31 minutes across the last six games. Over 12 games in which Morris has played at least 30 minutes this season, he has averaged 12.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists.
