The Jock MKT Starter Kit: NBA DFS Picks | May 11
How to Play at Jock MKT
To begin, enter the NBA Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is under way. Leading up until the start of the first game, bid up on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging all the way up to $25. See potential injury news that could open up an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the back-up, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.
The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike in regular NBA DFS where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done all the way up until the final buzzer of the night’s final game.
At the end of the games, each player share is paid out based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. It’s as simple as that! For more information, go to jockmkt.com.

Strategy Session — Tankathon Continues
Tuesday brings a packed 11-game slate with plenty of teams resting players. There are the usual suspects like the Pistons, who will be hosting the Timberwolves. Jerami Grant, Mason Plumlee, Wayne Ellington, Josh Jackson and Cory Joseph will all be out, which leaves a couple of enticing Jock MKT NBA options against a Timberwolves team that has the third-worst defensive rating in the league. Killian Hayes recorded 21 points, seven rebounds and eight assists against the Bulls on Sunday, a game in which he started and played 38 minutes. He could also top 30 minutes in this contest, so he could provide tremendous value given his Awesemo projected fair IPO price of $0.7.
Another player on the Pistons to consider is Saddiq Bey, who scored 20 points in that same game against the Bulls. He has been one of the team’s leading scorers down the stretch, averaging 17.1 points and 3.6 3-pointers over the last seven games. He is not just a scorer either, considering he also averaged 7.4 rebounds and two assists during that span.
A newly minted tanking team is the Raptors, who have been officially eliminated from the playoffs. They have ruled out Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam and O.G. Anunoby for their matchup with the Clippers. There are two things to keep in mind here. First, players like Malachi Flynn, Khem Birch and DeAndre’ Bembry should be in line for more playing time. Second, this game could get out of hand in a hurry against a vastly superior Clippers squad. If that’s the case, then Kawhi Leonard and Paul George could spend added time on the bench in the second half, making them potentially risky options.
Jock MKT NBA Picks Tonight
Nikola Jokic – This is a rare matchup between two teams that aren’t tanking. Both the Nuggets and the Hornets are playing for playoff positioning, so expect Jokic to soak up his normal allotment of minutes. He is having an MVP season, averaging 26.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 1.4 steals. Trying to slow him down will be the likes of Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo, which isn’t exactly an inspiring duo. The Awesemo projections have Jokic projected to score 50.39 fantasy points, which is the second-highest mark of any player on the slate.
Domantas Sabonis – Russell Westbrook has been gaining plenty of headlines for his recent triple-double run, and rightfully so. Somewhat lost in that, though, has been the production of Sabonis. He has two triple-doubles over his last six games and narrowly missed four others on his way to averaging 26 points, 15.3 rebounds and 10.3 assists. Although a matchup against a tough 76ers defense is no easy task, Sabonis’ play with Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and Myles Turner (toe) battling injuries still leaves him with tremendous upside. His Awesemo projection is for 45.74 fantasy points, which is the fifth-highest mark of any player set to take the floor.
Malachi Flynn – With Lowry and VanVleet out, Flynn is likely going to receive all of the playing time that he can handle. Over 11 games in which he has played at least 30 minutes this season, he’s averaged 14.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.7 steals. Add in the fact that he likely won’t cost much, and he could provide significant returns.
