The Jock MKT Starter Kit: NBA DFS Picks | May 4
How to Play at Jock MKT
To begin, enter the NBA Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is under way. Leading up until the start of the first game, bid up on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging all the way up to $25. See potential injury news that could open up an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the back-up, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.
The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike in regular NBA DFS where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done all the way up until the final buzzer of the night’s final game.
At the end of the games, each player share is paid out based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. It’s as simple as that! For more information, go to jockmkt.com.

Strategy Session — The Walking Wounded
While there are only seven games on the slate, there is no shortage of injury situations to monitor. One star that there is some early clarity on is Kristaps Porzingis (knee), who is listed as doubtful to play against the Heat. He has already missed five of the last six games, and the Mavericks want to be cautious with him so that he’s ready for the playoffs. With him out, Luka Doncic has averaged 28.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 11 assists. Expect Doncic to shoulder the offensive load in this matchup as well.
The Hornets have remained in the playoff chase despite dealing with several key injuries. Gordon Hayward (foot) remains out, and Devonte’ Graham (knee) was unable to take the floor Sunday. However, the good news is that LaMelo Ball is back from his wrist injury. He has not been on a minutes limit in either of his two games since returning, so he could thrive in a matchup against a Pistons team that has been resting it’s best players down the stretch. The Awesemo NBA DFS projections have him projected to score 34.14 fantasy points.
The Cavaliers will once again be without their promising young point guard Darius Garland (ankle), who will miss his second straight game. When he missed Saturday’s matchup with the Heat, Collin Sexton took charge with 25 points, four rebounds, eight assists and two steals. He could provide more steals in this contest as well, but he’s a risky option against a Suns team that has the fifth-best defensive rating in the league.
Jock MKT NBA Picks Tonight
Giannis Antetokounmpo – The Bucks will face the Nets again after just playing them Sunday. It was an exciting clash between two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, with the Bucks earning a 3-point win. Giannis went off in the contest, posting 49 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three blocks. He attempted a whopping 36 shots across 36 minutes and should be busy again in their rematch. His Awesemo Jock MKT NBA projection gives him a whopping 51.79 fantasy points.
Buddy Hield – It is slim pickings for the Kings right now. They will be without De’Aaron Fox (COVID-19) and Tyrese Haliburton (knee) for sure, and they could be without Harrison Barnes (groin) for their fourth straight contest. With their limited options, Hield has exploded to average 19.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, five assists and one steals over their last six games. Not only could he be in line for a big performance against the tanking Thunder, but he could provide value consider his Awesemo projected fair IPO price of $5.5.
Marvin Bagley – Staying with the Kings, they did at least receive some good news when Bagley returned Friday from a 23-game absence. He only logged 21 minutes in his first game back, but he started and played 34 minutes Sunday against the Mavericks, finishing with 23 points, nine rebounds and three assists. If Barnes is out again, then Bagley could provide a nice return.
