NBA Fantasy: Boom Bust Tool Projections for DraftKings + FanDuel Lineups | Today 11/11

Thursday presents a three-game slate for DFS players. Even with only six teams in action, NBA fantasy lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel will be flush with high-level talent and value plays. The Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page will provide breaking news when starters are announced as well as a full injury report on players who might be missing in action. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.

NBA Fantasy Projections & Optimal Lineup Picks Tonight

Boom: Precious Achiuwa: $4,200 DraftKings/$4,900 FanDuel

44.9% DraftKings Boom/25.8% FanDuel Boom

Pascal Siakam will be rested tonight, and Khem Birch (knee) will also be sidelined, which should reinsert Achiuwa into the Raptors starting lineup at center. This season Achiuwa is scoring 0.96 DraftKings points per minute and has provided over 25 DraftKings in three of his past four games. With Toronto short-handed in their frontcourt, Achiuwa projects for 28.2 minutes Thursday against the 76ers. In the 10 games in which he has logged at least 25 minutes, he is scoring 29 DraftKings points per game. Philadelphia ranks 21st in defensive efficiency, and this is a spot that requires Achiuwa’s size and strength to match up with Andre Drummond. Achiuwa is extremely underpriced for his role tonight and is rating as the No. 1 value in Awesemo’s projections on the slate for both DraftKings and FanDuel.

The Raptors big is also projecting well in the NBA DFS lineup optimizer, and was popping in our models, which is why he was landing on the DraftKings NBA cheat sheet and FanDuel NBA cheat sheet tonight as well.

Boom: Gary Trent Jr.: $5,000 DraftKings/$6,300 FanDuel

28.6% DraftKings Boom/10.3% FanDuel Boom

Trent is also benefits with the Raptors depleted. He has struggled with Siakam in the lineup for these past two, scoring only 20.4 DraftKings points per game. However, in the first 10 games of the season with Siakam unavailable, Trent averaged 29 DraftKings points per game. Since the start of last season his usage has increased 2.7 percentage points with Siakam off the floor. While Trent is overpriced on FanDuel, his $5,000 salary on DraftKings is far too low for his heavy volume, and he is trailing only Achiuwa as a point-per-dollar value in Awesemo’s projections.

Latest NBA DFS Content

Boom: Tyler Herro: $6,100 DraftKings/$6,400 FanDuel

19.3% DraftKings Boom/8.1% FanDuel Boom

Herro has seen an unwarranted price cut on DraftKings, bringing him down to a very reasonable $6,100. This is the cheapest he has been in nine games, and Herro is coming off 37.5 DraftKings points last night against the Lakers. After an underwhelming sophomore campaign, Herro has been terrific this season, scoring 1.03 DraftKings points per minute. His usage rate is 4 percentage points higher than last year, and Herro has eclipsed 35 DraftKings points in seven of 11 games this season.

Tonight he will face a Clippers defense that ranks third in efficiency, but this is also an up-tempo spot for the Heat. Los Angeles ranks 11th in pace, compared to Miami’s 17th. Plus, Jimmy Butler (ankle) is questionable after exiting last night’s loss to the Lakers. Herro’s rates have not moved much without Butler this season, but his absence would solidify huge playing time for Herro. Nonetheless, Herro is far too cheap right now on DraftKings and is a standout value for this short slate.

Bust: Domantas Sabonis: $9,100 DraftKings/$8,800 FanDuel

77.2% DraftKings Bust/78.7% FanDuel Bust

Tonight Sabonis gets arguably the toughest matchup in the league for a big man, heading to Utah to face the Jazz. Not only does Utah rank fourth in defensive efficiency, but it also ranks 23rd in pace and is yielding the fewest rebounds per game in the league. In this brutal spot, the Pacers’ implied team total is the lowest on the slate (102.8 points), and they are also the biggest underdogs of the night (Utah -10.5).

Considering the Pacers just played last night, this game has serious blowout potential, and for the six games Indiana has been an underdog this season, Sabonis has scored only 38.75 DraftKings points per game. With decent ownership coming his way on both sites tonight, Sabonis is a stud to fade.
