NBA Fantasy Projections & Optimal Lineup Picks Tonight

Boom: Frank Kaminsky: $4,300 DraftKings/$4,300 FanDuel

36.4% DraftKings Boom/38.9% FanDuel Boom

Deandre Ayton (leg) has missed two of the past three for Phoenix, and despite coming off the bench, Kaminsky has been the Suns’ primary big man on these occasions, averaging 33.6 DraftKings points and 28.8 minutes per game. Kaminsky has been efficient this season, scoring 1.1 DraftKings points per minute, and Awesemo’s projections have him slated for 26 minutes tonight against the Kings. Sacramento ranks 20th in defensive efficiency and 11th in pace. Furthermore, they are extremely susceptible inside, allowing the most points in the paint and the third-most rebounds,

In this friendly matchup, the Suns have the highest implied team total on the slate (114.8 points), and this game’s total is also the second highest on the board (226.5 points). Kaminsky is producing 27.6 DraftKings points per game when he has logged a minimum of 20 minutes over the last two seasons. He is a top-five value for both DraftKings and FanDuel tonight, according  to Awesemo’s projections.

Boom: Andre Drummond: $5,700 DraftKings/$5,500 FanDuel | 80.2% DraftKings Boom/82.2% FanDuel Boom

With Monday being the first leg of back-to-back set for the 76ers, Joel Embiid will rest tonight, leaving Drummond with a significant role. With Embiid out last Monday, Drummond started at center and erupted for 60.5 DraftKings points across 33.3 minutes in the win over the Trail Blazers. He is averaging 1.4 DraftKings points per minute this season, and Awesemo’s projections forecast him for 31.7 minutes against the Knicks. New York just played last night, and their defense has been weak this season, ranking 26th in efficiency.

Since the beginning of last season, Drummond has generated 37 DraftKings points per game when he has cracked the 20-minute mark. He was dominant against the Knicks last season, scoring 47.7 DraftKings points per game across five matchups. Simply put, Drummond’s current salaries do not in any way reflect the role he is going to handle tonight, and he has the highest boom score on the slate by a wide margin for both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Boom: Anthony Davis: $10,200 DraftKings/$10,600 FanDuel | 32.5% DraftKings Boom/30.3% FanDuel Boom

Drummond and Kaminsky are primary plays tonight, but they are going to be extremely chalky, so other spots in lineups will need to be contrarian. After exiting Saturday’s loss to the Blazers with an illness and burning many DFS players, Davis is expected to see modest ownership for this eight-game slate. He is questionable with a finger injury, but he has played through this ailment for nearly a week, and the Lakers are 2-point favorites over the Hornets. This suggests Davis is going to be available, and he should garner a huge role with LeBron James (abdomen) already confirmed out.

Davis’ usage has increased 3 percentage points, and he has provided 1.5 DraftKings points per minute with James off the court this season. Furthermore, excluding Saturday night when Davis only saw seven minutes due to the illness, he is averaging 60.3 DraftKings points per game in the three other games James has missed this season. To top it all off, this is a prime matchup, with the Hornets ranking dead last in defensive efficiency and playing their second game in two nights. Even with James absent, the Lakers have the second-highest implied team total on the slate (114.5 points), and Davis’ massive ceiling is a boon in GPPs tonight.

Update: Davis has been upgraded to probable for tonight’s matchup with the Hornets.

Zach Brunner is also a big fan of the upside Anthony Davis provides, which he wrote about in his NBA fantasy picks article using Awesemo’s expert grades and value tools.

Latest NBA DFS Content

Boom: Miles Bridges: $7,700 DraftKings/$8,300 FanDuel | 35.3% DraftKings Boom/23.2% FanDuel Boom

Opposite Davis, Bridges is a great target against the Lakers. His usage has risen a notable 7.3 percentage points from a year ago, translating to 1.2 DraftKings points per minute. Bridges currently leads the Hornets in minutes per game with 36, and he has eclipsed 40 DraftKings in eight of 11 starts this season. With Russell Westbrook at the helm, the Lakers are the fastest team in the NBA, and Charlotte’s implied total is the fourth highest on the slate (112.5 points). Plus, this matchup’s total is the high mark of this eight-game slate (227 points). In this elite setting, Bridges’ ceiling is near 50 fantasy points tonight, and his ownership is expected to stay in check on both DraftKings and FanDuel, according to the Boom/Bust Tool.
