After a small NBA daily fantasy slate yesterday, there are eight games on the schedule for tonight. NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Nov. 8
*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. Initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.
PF Anthony Davis — Grades: A, A | Values: B, B
Without LeBron James in the lineup, Anthony Davis looked like a good value last game. Unfortunately, he exited the game with a sickness after seven minutes, so he obviously was a massive bust. It resulted in his salary going down slightly, which makes him an interesting play tonight. He is listed as questionable, though it is with a finger injury, not the illness that took him out of last game. This is also expected to be a high-scoring game, with the Lakers having the highest projected team total of the night.
PF Jaren Jackson Jr. — Grades: B, B | Values: B, A
Jaren Jackson Jr. plays the Timberwolves, who are not the scrubs of years past. Still, Jackson’s price makes him a safe play with upside tonight. Blowouts have hurt Jackson’s value recently, so if this is a competitive game for four quarters, he should be a fantastic play. Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool gives Jackson a floor of 26 points but a ceiling of about 37 points. It appears he only needs the floor time to get there.
C Clint Capela — Grades: B, B | Values: B, A
The Hawks need a win to get back on track. Not only do they have a bunch of losses, but they also have multiple games in which they were blown out. One of the main players to suffer from an NBA fantasy perspective is Clint Capela, since the Hawks need offense in the second half of games to catch up, which often puts Capela on the bench. While a similar result could happen tonight, Capela is an inexpensive, high-ceiling play that has had a great deal of success against the Warriors in the past. He has at least 18 points, 15 rebounds and multiple blocks in three of his past four games against Golden State. Capela is an especially good play on FanDuel, where Awesemo’s projections give him a value of 4.28.

C Frank Kaminsky — Grades: C, C | Values: A, A
The Suns will be without Deandre Ayton tonight yet again. In these past two games without Ayton, Frank Kaminsky has been great, averaging 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, one block and two steals. He also gets to face a bottom-10 defense in the Kings, which points to his good stretch continuing for Kaminsky tonight. Awesemo’s projections give Kaminsky the highest value on the slate — 5.19 on DraftKings and 5.30 on FanDuel.
