NBA Daily Fantasy Picks Based on Awesemo Grades & Values | 10/26/21

After a large slate last night, there is a modest NBA daily fantasy lineup of five games on the schedule tonight. Unlike much of last week, there is a bit of NBA DFS injury news yet to come out, so be sure to check the Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page to see who is in, who is out and who is starting as news breaks, and look at the NBA DFS rankings and projections for both DraftKings and FanDuel lineups tonight.

NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Oct. 26

*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. Initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.

PG Dejounte Murray — Grades: A, A | Values: A, A

It was an off game for Dejounte Murray last game due to him having a 17.4% usage rate. He should be back up to mid- to high 20s tonight, facing a Lakers team that is trying to gel and find their identity. Murray is playing consistently high minutes this season, and he fills up the box score quickly. Aside from his scoring, he is averaging eight rebounds, seven assists and 2.3 steals per game. Awesemo’s projections are loving him tonight, giving him a ceiling of over 60 points and a relatively high floor.

C Joel Embiid — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

The 76ers and Joel Embiid face off against the Knicks tonight. While the Knicks are a solid team, they can be attacked in the paint by elite post players, which Embiid is. On top of that, New York does not have many great options to follow Embiid out to the perimeter. Either his matchup will be too small or not athletic enough. This should be Embiid’s first double-double of the season too, as predicted by Awesemo’s projections. Keep in mind that Embiid is questionable tonight, however.

PG Tyrese Maxey — Grades: B, B | Values: B, A

In that same game, Tyrese Maxey is a bit underpriced. After back-to-back poor shooting nights, Awesemo’s projections are predicting the strong performance from Embiid will take a bit of pressure off the backcourt, with Maxey thriving as a result. His minutes in the mid-30s are safe, and he will likely improve upon his assist numbers tonight. Maxey will also continue to shoot the long ball. While he is 1-for-9 the past two games from beyond the arc, he shot over 30% last season, so positive regression should be coming in this regard.

PF Keldon Johnson — Grades: C, C | Values: A, A

Following a poor season debut, Keldon Johnson has been much more aggressive the past two games. He attempted 18 shots in each game, converting at a high rate in each. Johnson has been putting up solid fantasy performances despite not converting on a 3-point shot yet as well (0-for-7). The matchup with the Lakers looks a bit tough on paper since everyone is imagining him facing Anthony Davis. This is helping to keep his price low and make him a great value on both sites. Also, there will be times when he is matchup up with Carmelo Anthony and other veterans that will give poor defensive efforts. Look for Johnson to take advantage, as he has done the past two games.
