NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Dec. 9

*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. Initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.

SF Dillon Brooks — Grades: B, B| Values: A, A

Dillon Brooks has struggled recently. This is mostly due to his inefficient shooting, as Brooks has averaged 16 points on 38.1% shooting over his past eight games. Ja Morant is still out for the Grizzlies, and they face the Lakers tonight, so someone will need to step up on the offensive end for them to get a win. Awesemo is expecting that to be Brooks, projecting him to lead the team in scoring with 21.88 points.

PG Dejounte Murray — Grades: A, A | Values: B, B

Dejounte Murray has improved every single season, and he has been an absolute stud this year. Over his past 10 games, Murray has averaged 19.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, nine assists and 1.8 steals per game. He should be on triple-double watch yet again tonight in a competitive matchup with the Nuggets. With Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson both likely out, Murray will be asked to do even more for his team. The Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool gives Murray a floor of about 41 fantasy points tonight and a ceiling of about 55.

SG Lonnie Walker IV — Grades: C, C | Values: A, A

Again, Vassell and Johnson are both likely out tonight, which should lead to an increased role for Lonnie Walker IV. He has been a steady producer for the Spurs off the bench, playing around 20 minutes. However, due to the absences of his teammates, he is projected to play about 26 minutes tonight, pitching in stats across the board. The last time he played over 25 minutes he put up 21 points, four rebounds and two steals against a tough Warriors team. Awesemo’s projections list Walker as the top overall value play on DraftKings and the third-best value play on FanDuel.

PG Tyus Jones — Grades: B, B | Values: B, A

Morant being out means Tyus Jones will continue to start for Memphis. He has been decent in these six games as a starter, averaging over 9 points, four rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.5 steals over this stretch, and these numbers are slightly lower due to a couple of blowouts. He has double-double potential tonight against the Lakers. Awesemo’s projections list Jones as the top overall value play on FanDuel and the third-best value play on DraftKings.
