After only three games on the NBA daily fantasy slate yesterday, there are 11 games on the schedule for tonight. Plenty of NBA DFS injury news is yet to come out, so be sure to check the Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page to see who is in, who is out and who is starting as news breaks, and look at the NBA DFS rankings and projections for both DraftKings and FanDuel lineups tonight.
NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Nov. 12
*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. Initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.
C Jonas Valanciunas — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A
Jonas Valanciunas has been an absolute animal for the Pelicans this season, averaging 20 points, 14 rebounds and 2.7 assists, which are all career highs. Best of all, he is seeing the floor time he deserves. After averaging under 30 minutes in every season, Valanciunas is currently averaging 34 minutes for New Orleans. Tonight he faces a Brooklyn team that ranks dead last in the league against centers.
PG Darius Garland — Grades: B, B | Values: A, A
Collin Sexton injured his knee earlier this week and will likely be out a while. This opens up more usage and scoring opportunities for Darius Garland, who faces a poor Pistons team tonight. Garland has been extremely consistent lately, converting at a high clip and scoring between 16 and 21 points in seven of his past eight games. It is the assists and rebounds that he can improve upon in a matchup like this. Garland is a slightly better play on FanDuel, where he is $400 cheaper. For this reason, Awesemo’s Projections label him the best value at the point guard position on FanDuel tonight.
PF Bobby Portis — Grades: B, B | Values: A, A
The Bucks continue to be short-handed, with Khris Middleton, Donte DiVincenzo and Brook Lopez all inactive. This leaves a gap in usage, which Bobby Portis has filled nicely. His role is to score and grab rebounds, which he has done well. Over his past six games, Portis is averaging 13.7 points and 8.2 rebounds. He has also started each of the past three games. Tonight he faces a Celtics team that allows the second-most rebounds in the league, at 57.7. Awesemo projects Portis close to a double-double tonight.

PG Patrick Beverley — Grades: C, C | Values: A, A
Don’t look now, but Patrick Beverley is relevant for NBA fantasy. He has played 27 or more minutes in four straight games, which has led to three solid performances. Beverley does not score many points, but that also means an off shooting night will not tank his value. He is averaging 7.25 points, 5.75 rebounds, 5.5 assists and one block over these past four games. Beverley is a better play on DraftKings, where Awesemo’s Projections say he is the best value on the slate. The Boom/Bust Tool also gives Beverley the highest boom percentage on DraftKings.
