NBA Daily Fantasy Picks Based on Awesemo Grades & Values | 10/28/21

While the NBA will not be battling with Thursday Night Football for ratings the rest of the season, there is still a nice NBA daily fantasy slate. Tonight there are six games on the schedule and plenty of NBA DFS injury news yet to come out, so be sure to check the Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page to see who is in, who is out and who is starting as news breaks, and look at the NBA DFS rankings and projections for both DraftKings and FanDuel lineups tonight.

NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Oct. 28

*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. Initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.

C Rudy Gobert — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

Rudy Gobert has a quality matchup tonight against Houston, who ranks 22nd against his position. He appears to be as safe as there is on tonight’s slate. Gobert has totaled at least 16 points and 16 rebounds in every single this season. Adding the occasional block, steal and assist, Gobert offers nice savings from the top-priced center on the slate, but he still has a ceiling of about 50 fantasy points.

C Joel Embiid — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

This is a spot where it is important to check the news prior to tip-off. the 76ers could give Joel Embiid the night off since they play the Pistons. If this happens, Andre Drummond would essentially be a must-play on both sites, especially in a revenge spot. However, if Embiid plays, he should be able to do whatever he pleases. Along with a high floor, Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool gives Embiid the third-highest ceiling on the slate.

PG De’Anthony Melton — Grades: C, C | Values: A, A

To add a cheaper player into the mix, De’Anthony Melton is in a good spot. He has a larger role to begin the season, with Dillon Brooks out. Melton has fully taken advantage, scoring 27 or more DraftKings points in three of his four games. His lone failed attempt was last night when he shot 0-for-8 and missed both free throws. It looks to be a bounce-back spot against the Warriors, and there could be fewer people on him as a result of last night. Awesemo’s projections expect Melton to have a short memory, projecting him for over 13 points.

PG Derrick White — Grades: B, B | Values: B, B

Derrick White has had a strong start to this season, and he faces a middle-of-the-road defense in Dallas tonight. White has scored 30 or more NBA DFS DraftKings points in three of his four games this season, and his fourth game was no bust. He has found a way to contribute a little bit of everything this season, averaging 13.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 6.5 assists, one block and two steals. This is great since he does not rely on any stat category to carry his fantasy value. White operates at about a fantasy point per minute this season, and he is projected for 33.5 minutes tonight.
