NBA Daily Fantasy Picks Based on Awesemo Grades & Values | 12/20/21

There is a mid-sized six-game NBA fantasy slate tonight. With that, NBA DFS injury news will be a big part of tonight’s process. Be sure to check the Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page to see who is in, who is out and who is starting as news breaks, and look at the NBA DFS rankings and projections for both DraftKings and FanDuel lineups.

NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Dec. 20

*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. Initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.

SG Tyrese Haliburton — Grades: B, B | Values: B, A

The Kings have many people out tonight, including De’Aaron Fox, Davion Mitchell, Marvin Bagley and Alex Len. With Fox out especially, Tyrese Haliburton will be asked to do more. Haliburton has seen his usage rise to 18.1% with Fox off the floor this season, leading to him averaging just over 1 fantasy point per minute. Awesemo projects him to play 36 minutes tonight.

SG Buddy Hield — Grades: B, B | Values: A, A

Sticking in the same game, Buddy Hield is a great play for the same reasons as Haliburton. Hield put up 29 points in 40 minutes last game and will need to keep shooting if the Kings have any chance to stay in the game against Golden State. Awesemo’s projections list Hield as the top overall value play on FanDuel tonight.

PG Alex Caruso — Grades: C, C | Values: A, A

The Bulls are back to playing games, but they have plenty of players still out. The result was Alex Caruso playing 38 minutes last game, and he finished with 17 points and nine rebounds. He should be a starter for Chicago once again tonight, as they face off against a poor Houston team. Expect many missed shots, which should lead to a large number of rebounds for Caruso, as he hustles for the boards. Awesemo projects him to play 33.1 minutes tonight for the short-handed Bulls.

SF Dillon Brooks — Grades: B, B | Values: B, B

With Ja Morant still out for Memphis, Dillon Brooks continues to act as the leader for the Grizzlies. Tonight he faces a Thunder team they beat by 73 points the last time they played each other. Brooks should play more minutes against them tonight, and he will continue to put up plenty of points. He is coming off a game last night in which he scored 37 points on 25 shot attempts. Awesemo projects Brooks to lead the team in scoring once again tonight.
