NBA DFS Picks: Prime Time Players

Jrue Holiday: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Golden State Warriors

DraftKings $8,400, FanDuel $9,400, Yahoo $36 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 24.6%, FanDuel 29.0% Yahoo Fantasy 240%

With just four games on the NFL Sunday main NBA slate, we still have some interesting options. There are a litany of players dinged up for the Pelicans, so they will once again be leaning heavily on Jrue Holiday. Derrick Favors is doubtful with back spasms and did not play last night. Josh Hart (knee), Lonzo Ball (groin) and Jahlil Okafor (ankle) are all out once again. We are still waiting on news for J.J. Redick who was out with a toe injury on Saturday, Frank Jackson who left the game early with a neck injury last night and Brandon Ingram who has missed several games with a knee issue.

NBA DFS Picks: Good Value

Check out Live Before Lock with Fast Eddie Fear tonight at 5pm ET for additional news on the New Orleans value options.

This is going to be a major Stars and Scrubs day once we know who is suiting up for the Pelicans. We should be able to have at least two of Anthony Davis, LeBron James, Trae Young, Nikola Jokic and Nikola Vucevic on every roster.

NBA DFS Picks: Risky Value

Ky Bowman: Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans

DraftKings $3,000, FanDuel $3,800, Yahoo $10 Ownership Rating (preliminary run): DraftKings 64.0%, FanDuel 77.3% Yahoo Fantasy 60.0%

Yes, he is at the minimum on pretty much every site, but he still can hurt you as we have seen time and time again with extremely discounted options. Now, at least we saw him top 30 fantasy points the last time he was starting in consecutive games against Portland and Charlotte while averaging 38.0 minutes in that pair of games. He has averaged 14.3 minutes with 11.1 fantasy points per game in his last five appearances.

Feel free to put him in for 0.75 fantasy points per minute and ride the wave with the masses. It would also be a savvy move to have a couple lineups without him in the hopes he has a dud performance. Keep in mind, this is against a short handed Pelicans team, so it is not like he is facing a lock down defense.

With D’Angelo Russell slated to miss the next two weeks with a sprained thumb, we will be seeing a lot of Bowman on our lineups until the price sufficiently increases.

FantasyCruncher NBA DFS Tip of the Day

Use promo code PRIMETIME to receive 50% off any one-month premium subscription (including FantasyCruncher options).

With the incredibly user-friendly and flexible rules creation feature on FantasyCruncher, we can take our lineup construction to the next level.

There are so many value plays on this four game slate, I want to make sure I have at least two Superstars in all of my lineups.

By creating a group of the top-end players, I can tell FantasyCruncher how many I want to have at a minimum on each roster.

The individual player exposure %s and other rules will still be applied to this rule so play around with using 1-2 or even 3 as your minimum from the group and analyze the results.

Final Thoughts

You could also set up groups of the many value plays similar to the example above to make sure you get a nice even distribution of the options.

As always, you can reach out to me in Awesemo.com Premium Slack or on Twitter @EMacDFS if you have any NBA DFS questions about DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo or FantasyDraft.
