There is only one game on tonight’s slate, but it’s a big one. The Clippers were viewed as one of the title frontrunners not long ago, and now they find themselves down 2-0 to the Jazz in the second round of the NBA playoffs. This isn’t unfamiliar territory since Los Angeles also trailed the Mavericks 2-0 before coming back to win the series. Don’t dismiss the Clippers just yet, especially since Mike Conley remains banged up. He was questionable to play coming into the day and is now officially out. His status has a massive impact on the top NBA DFS plays on DraftKings and FanDuel today.

NBA DFS Deep Dive: DraftKings + FanDuel | June 12

Kawhi Leonard ($11,400 DraftKings/$14,500 FanDuel) — Leonard should play a massive role in tonight’s game with the Clippers down a couple of games in the series. While this is almost always a true statement, this becomes even more true because of the situation. When Los Angeles was down 2-0 to the Mavericks, Leonard played a season-high 42.3 minutes and scored 56.5 DraftKings points. The Clippers need a big game out of Leonard to extend their season, and it should help that they are playing at home tonight. Los Angeles is favored to win a game for the first time in the series.

Donovan Mitchell ($11,000 DraftKings/$15,000 FanDuel) — Mitchell carries the offense with Mike Conley injured. Utah has played it safe with Conley for most of the season, and he’s battled a handful of hamstring issues over the last couple of seasons. There is no need to rush him back to full action when the Jazz have a bit of a cushion in this series, so he was ruled out early in advance of tonight’s game. Due to Conley’s absence, Mitchell has a usage rate of 41.7% in this series, leading to an average of 41 points per game.

Joe Ingles ($6,000 DraftKings/$9,500 FanDuel) — With Conley out, no player on the Jazz benefits more than Ingles. He typically starts in place of Conley when he isn’t healthy enough to play, and it’s a role that Ingles plays well in. Ingles scored 33 DraftKings while starting in Game 2, which isn’t far off from what he averaged as a starter in the regular season. In 33 starts during the regular season, Ingles averaged 29.95 DraftKings points, and that was only in 31 minutes per game. Ingles is playing a couple of extra minutes during his playoff starts. Until Conley returns to action, Ingles is a player to get exposure to on FanDuel and DraftKings.

Ivica Zubac ($3,400 DraftKings/$9,000 FanDuel) — Don’t read too much into the results from the last game. Zubac struggled, but the most important takeaway from the game was that he started. He got into foul trouble, which significantly hampered his fantasy production. Zubac remains cheap and should continue to start as the Clippers try to match up against Rudy Gobert. Serge Ibaka is out for the rest of the season, which makes Zubac’s role safe. For the season, Zubac is averaging 22.4 DraftKings points per game when starting.
