Game 2 Showdown of the NBA Finals ended in a 22-way tie for first, those lineups winning by more than 2 points.
Team Salary & Ownership
This DFS Showdown slate was an oddity for the playoffs in that we had two major players out of the game in Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo. This opened up such value in Kelly Olynyk that it made it possible to use him as Captain, fit in the 3 remaining stars and take shots on two more players to round out your lineup.
In my previous article, by looking at past slates I suggested a couple of simple rules that your lineup should conform to. A team salary range of $48,900 – $49,600 and a projected ownership range of 162% – 212.8%. We can see that the winning lineup had salary of $49,300 and an ownership sum of 208.2%. I would recommend the same tonight in large field GPPs. Projected ownership will vary by slate and source of course, but the most popular lineup had an ownership sum of $242.6% which is in line with past slates. That lineup was played 1,317 times ($49,900) and min cashed. 63% of entries used more salary than was needed to win.
150 Maxers
We had 69 150 maxers, making up 17.6% of the field. 11/69 made money, ten of those having a first-place lineup. 5/69 cashed 0 lineups.
