NBA DFS Picks

Luka Doncic | $11,000 FanDuel, $11,000 DraftKings *UPDATE – OUT*

At this stage in the NBA, uncertainties are lingering all around trying to dictate rotations, starting lineups, etc. But one thing is clear: Doncic is a rare talent and is the No. 1 play on the slate regardless of position. Since entering the bubble, Doncic is sporting a 37.1% usage rate and producing 1.71 fantasy points per minute over an average of 33.9 minutes per game (62 fantasy points per game). Those are purely outstanding all-around statistics — just plug him and move on. Another player standing out on this slate is Goran Dragic. He should be cleared for this game and enter the starting lineup with Kendrick Nunn quarantined for four days. Jamal Murray playing 39 minutes first game back was a surprise to say the least, so I see no reason not to project him for 30-plus minutes in this one. At $6,500 on FanDuel and $7,100 on DraftKings, he’s a great NBA DFS play against the Lakers, who are 1-3 in the bubble.

*Bonus Round: Devin Booker

*(UPDATE) Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis are out. That opens a lot of value for Dallas. Trey Burke becomes relevant, as do Boban Marjanovic, Maxi Kleber and Delon Wright. All should get minutes, but staying up to date with the Live Blog will be crucial.

Brook Lopez | $6,000 FanDuel, $5,300 DraftKings

Lopez has been playing big for the Bucks. To put it in perspective, he’s been an NBA DFS darling, averaging 40.5 fantasy points per game since the beginning of the restart and has been under $6,000 all year. Giannis Antetokounmpo is amazing and should garner your attention because it seems even with the No. 1 seed locked up, they will not slow down. And if that is the case, Khris Middleton also should be on your radar, as this team clicks through these three players. Royce O’Neale‘s recent play is worth a shot just on price alone. He is averaging 30 fantasy points per game in Orlando at sub-$5,000.

*Bonus Round: Malcolm Brogdon

Michael Porter Jr. | $8,000 FanDuel, $7,700 DraftKings

Porter’s price is warranted based off his recent success. Most will fade, but I will not. It will be enough value to fit him on this slate. But if ownership is too high, I can see coming down on your exposure caps, but do not fully fade. Over his last four games, he is producing 51 fantasy points per game with ease. In this same game, Nikola Jokic has been rolling and looks great. He is sporting a 28.2% usage rate and posting 1.41 fantasy points per minute. Also, Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet looks appealing in a game that’s sure to be close against the Bucks, as they continue to give their starters full run. Serge Ibaka looks to be a better matchup for Milwaukee, but Marc Gasol continues to start. Ibaka should get significant run and should be a great value at his price point, and he has proven to produce in spots just like this.

*Bonus Round: Anthony Davis
