NBA DFS PICK #1: Karl-Anthony Towns $11,400 FanDuel $10,000 DraftKings
The Big Kat Karl-Anthony Towns is having a great year, despite missing two games due to suspension. He is averaging the most fantasy points per game in his career (53.0) and 1.49 FPPM all while shooting 40% from three and jacking up nine attempts from beyond the arc per game. Towns is also 12th in the league in three-point attempts with 81 through his first nine games of the season.
All this adds up to a line of 25.8 points, 12 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.6 blocks per game. He has a player efficiency rating of 29.5, a usage rate of 27.5 and an effective field goal percentage of .588. The nine three-point attempts are amazing from a big man — no other center is in the top-50. Towns gets to face a paced-up Washington Wizards team allowing a 27th ranked 120.0 points to opposing offenses.
NBA DFS PICK #2 Andrew Wiggins $9,000 FanDuel $8,300 DraftKings
I wrote up Andrew Wiggins in my last article as a top play and I hope that you played him, because he popped 57 fantasy points FanDuel at 5.9% ownership. This guy has been sensational in 2019 and I expect him to keep balling, especially if he continues to attack the basket the way he has been this year. Wiggins is putting up 25.9 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, and 3.6 assists while shooting 47.8% from the field to go along with a 27.9% usage rate.
He is playing 34.7 minutes per game, attempting 20 shots, has a .535 effective field goal percentage and a 109.7 offensive rating. This is a great spot to attack, against the Washington Wizards. We have two paced up teams (fifth and seventh) and Washington has been one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA so far this season. This game has a massive 238 o/u so look for Wiggins and Towns to ball out. Minnesota’s fourth ranked offense averages 117.2 points per game.
NBA DFS PICK #3 Bogdan Bogdanovic $6,900 FanDuel $6,700 DraftKings
Bogdan Bogdanovic stands out as a contrarian play to build with in your chalkier lineups. His price hasn’t caught up to his production yet, and he stands to benefit from an injury to De’Aaron Fox, likely filling a void in Sacramento’s rotation that’s in need of some offensive production. Bogdan has been doing just that averaging 37.6 FPPG his last three games all while not starting, but is averaging 25.6 minutes, 13.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 4.0 assist, and 1.3 steals.
He is attempting 11 shots per contest, has effective field goal percentage of .504 with a 23% usage rate and a 101.3 offensive rating. Bogdan has been getting all the run he can handle playing every second of the Kings past three games in the fourth quarter, and has been a solid buy-low high-upside play based off his recent production. He has scored at least 30 fantasy points his last three games, including a 52-pointer on FanDuel.
