DraftKings + FanDuel Boom/Bust Projections | Jan. 24
NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Boom CandidatesÂ
Damian Lillard vs. Knicks: $10,000/$9,700
35.3% DraftKings Boom/46.6% FanDuel Boom
The Blazers have been led by their backcourt for some time now. With CJ McCollum out, Lillard has to shoulder even more of the work. Lillard has a 32.4% usage rate this season with McCollum off the court. This is a 2.4% increase, and it also leads to 1.4 and 1.31 fantasy points per minute on DraftKings and FanDuel, respectively. If the game is close, Lillard will push for 40 minutes, which is exactly what we need for him to be a boom today. Considering the Blazers frequently forget to play defense, the Knicks could hang around and keep this interesting.
Enes Kanter vs. Knicks: $6,200/$6,500
31.4% DraftKings Boom/39.7% FanDuel Boom
Along with the McCollum injury, we saw Jusuf Nurkic go down before that. This led to Kanter joining the starting lineup. He played 29 and 27 minutes in this two starts. The first start led to a double-double, which included five blocks alongside it. His second start was more quiet, putting up 9 points, eight rebounds, five assists and no swats. In all honesty, that should be Kanter’s floor as a started (barring foul trouble). Look for him to split the difference against one of his many former teams today, leading to a solid NBA DFS performance.

DeMar DeRozan vs. Wizards: $7,600/$7,700
25.3% DraftKings Boom/36.5% FanDuel Boom
Simply put, DeRozan’s price is too low for the way he has performed. After 29, six and six last game, he saw his salary drop. DeRozan has exceeded value in three of his last four games and five of his last seven. While the matchup against the Wizards does not look amazing on paper, it’s not like they’re a defensive powerhouse. The Spurs are currently favored by 7 points, and the Wizards have not played since Jan. 11, so there is a bit of blowout risk. However, if it stays competitive, DeRozan will be a good play at a reduced price.
NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates
Cedi Osman vs. Celtics: $6,100/$6,200
79.0% DraftKings Bust/73.4% FanDuel Bust
Along with a tough matchup against the Celtics, the Cavaliers are getting healthier. So, Osman at the same price is now a risk to be a bust. Darius Garland, Collin Sexton, Isaac Okoro and Dylan Windler are all healthy and in the rotation today. Taurean Prince, who the Cavalier traded for, also eats into Osman’s role, as he played 22 minutes last game with everyone active. This resulted in Osman’s minutes dropping to 28, which is not enough at his current price.
