Victor Oladipo will be out for tonight’s game in Washington. In his last four starts, Wall has settled into a solid range of production. In this timeframe he is averaging 33.2 minutes with 23.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.0 combined blocks/steals. In three of these games he has taken at least nineteen field goal attempts. Clearly there will be no shortage of motivation going against his former team. Eric Gordon, Danuel House Jr and Sterling Brown all benefit from Oladipo’s absence.

Bradley Beal leads the league in both scoring with 32.9 points per game and usage at 36.5%. Russell Westbrook is unlikely to play on the second game of this back-to-back set as Washington has already stated they do not plan to play him on consecutive days. Looking at NBA WOWY we can see that when Westbrook is off the court, Beal’s usage rate leaps up to 40.4%. He also averages an elite 1.55 Yahoo fantasy points per minute without his backcourt mate. There is no love lost between Beal and Wall, so expect some fireworks tonight!
Julius Randle: New York Knicks vs. Atlanta Hawks

It has been a while since Julius Randle has graced this article series. The Knicks will be without Mitchell Robinson for at least a month after he fractured his right hand. Over his last eight games, Randle has been a steady producer. In this stretch he is averaging 36.5 minutes with 22.9 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 combined blocks/steals. New York has had runaway victories in their last two games against Houston 121-99 and Washington 109-91 where Randle lost out on close to four minutes of fourth quarter run in each game. Tonight’s matchup against Atlanta is a favorable one as they play faster than the Knicks and are lackadaisical on defense.

Enjoy the discount for Nerlens Noel who is the direct beneficiary of Mitchell Robinson’s absence. On Saturday, Noel stepped into the starting lineup with a season high 32.4 minutes. On the season he is averaging 1.0 Yahoo fantasy points per minute which is right in line with his career rate. We know he has tremendous upside with his ability to block shots an he was averaging 2.0 per game in his 17.5 minutes prior to entering the starting lineup. We are getting at least a 30% discount on Noel’s fantasy salary across the board making him a fine core option.
Brooklyn Nets at Sacramento Kings
Hooooooo Baby, this is what we call a late night hammer matchup! The Nets will be without Kevin Durant (hamstring) for at least the next two games. Tonight they are facing the league’s worst defense in the Kings who are on a back-to-back. The 242.5 project point total is by far the highest of the night. James Harden is averaging 1.34 Yahoo fantasy points per minute when Durant is off the court. Kyrie Irving is right in line with that rate as well with 1.35 fantasy points per minute. Tonight I am going to want at least one of them on each roster I build. Bruce Brown is a desirable discount dandy on all DFS sites as well. Jeff Green and Deandre Jordan (personal) are fine mix-and-match players who we can sprinkle in our lineups on the main slate. On the late-slate we definitely want them in our player pool.
De’Aaron Fox put up 43 fantasy points last night against the Grizzlies in just 30 minutes and he did not see the court in the final frame with the Kings waving the white flag early. While he did not play on Friday with a bruised knee, all indications are that he will be starting tonight. Tyrese Haliburton has been phenomenal over his last half dozen games and the rookie is a solid option coming off the bench tonight. In the event Fox is held out as a precaution, the twelfth overall selection of the 2020 NBA Draft becomes a priority play.

If Garrison Mathews draws a third straight start, just know that you are playing with fire if you put him on your rosters. Mathews is a streaky shooter with no other fantasy attributes to speak of. This season he has a 14.5% usage rate, 4.2% assist rate and 5.5% rebound rate. Plus we have already seen coach Scott Brooks yank him from the game several times this season for poor shot selection. With fourteen teams in action tonight there are plenty of safer options.

There certainly is no shortage of options when constructing stars and scrubs rosters tonight. Keep in mind that salaries and scoring formats differ across the various fantasy sites, and a slam-dunk play on Yahoo may be a below-average NBA DFS pick on DraftKings or FanDuel.
