NBA DFS Building Blocks for Tuesday, November 30 | Today, 11/30/21

Tuesday, Nov. 30, features a five-game main slate on Yahoo. Let’s look at the player pool and discuss the top NBA DFS picks for DraftKings, FanDuel and Yahoo lineups. Do not forget to head over to the Awesemo NBA DFS home page for more great written daily fantasy basketball content.

NBA DFS Picks: Building Blocks, Tuesday, Nov. 30

Yahoo Play of the Day — Fred VanVleet: Toronto Raptors vs. Memphis Grizzlies

  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Point Projections: Yahoo and FanDuel: 38.85 | DraftKings: 39.97
  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: Yahoo 35.2% | FanDuel 23.9% | DraftKings 20.8%
  • DFS Salary: Yahoo $33 | FanDuel $8,400 | DraftKings $8,700

Toronto will be without O.G. Anunoby (hip) through the weekend, Khem Birch (knee) is hopeful to return by the weekend, and Gary Trent Jr. is questionable with a calf issue, which sidelined him for the last game. That means that Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, Scottie Barnes and Precious Achiuwa may be the only healthy key contributors. This will create extra opportunities in what should be a fantasy-friendly environment. Memphis has the worst defensive efficiency in the league, allowing an eye-popping 112.3 points per 100 possessions. The Grizzlies also play a top-10 pace, which bodes well for the Raptors, who have been an efficient offense this season. VanVleet has the best salary-to-fantasy-points ratio among the ambulatory players for Toronto, though if Trent is out, all of the starters are worth targeting tonight.

VanVleet is a popular player in all of our Awesemo NBA betting content, and this prop bet is one of the favorites of betting expert Adam Strangis.

Anthony Davis: Los Angeles Lakers at Sacramento Kings

  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Point Projections: Yahoo and FanDuel: 46.34 | DraftKings: 45.42
  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: Yahoo 11.8% | FanDuel 23.4% | DraftKings 11.0%
  • DFS Salary: Yahoo $48 | FanDuel $10,300 | DraftKings $10,600

Anthony Davis now has topped 50 Yahoo points in three of his last four games. While two of these games were overtime affairs, he is still averaging nearly 1.4 fantasy points per minute in this stretch, which is elite. There is a decent chance that gamers will shy away from Davis, as he is carrying a questionable tag. This allows for rolling with Davis, with an easy pivot on Yahoo in the event he does not play by turning to LeBron James, who is at $43. Make sure Davis in the utility slot, or leave at least one other player from the later games for a 2v2 and take advantage of the extra $5 in savings. Gamers are unlikely to move up to Davis if they have already built their lineups because they will have spent that money on other players. This will be their feeling even though there are three games on the back half of the slate, and most rosters will have three to five players from those games, which would give ample roster flexibility. These days, with so many readily available projections and several being free, it is important to understand how to leverage against what the field is doing and turn that into an advantage.

Jaren Jackson Jr.: Memphis Grizzlies at Toronto Raptors.

  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Point Projections: Yahoo and FanDuel: 32.09 | DraftKings: 31.45
  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: Yahoo 18.2% | FanDuel 22.9% | DraftKings 16.6%
  • DFS Salary: Yahoo $27 | FanDuel $6,500 | DraftKings $6,700

Tonight the Yahoo salary algorithm overlooked Jaren Jackson Jr., and he has a reasonable tag on the other DFS sites. Ja Morant is out, and that is going to open up additional offensive opportunities. Tyus Jones will be a popular play stepping into the starting lineup, but it looks like Jackson may be a little under the radar. This makes sense, as gamers look to use the stars-and-scrubs lineup construction strategy. Keep in mind that Toronto is down several players and there should be plenty of rebounds available tonight, which will help Jackson unlock his potential

New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets

Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau has said that going forward Kemba Walker will not be part of the New York rotation and Alec Burks will be the starting point guard. This should secure Burks for 30 to 32 minutes per game, and it is also a boost for Immanuel Quickley. Taj Gibson (groin) has missed the last five games, Derrick Rose (ankle) has missed the last three, and Nerlens Noel (knee) was out for the last game. This trio is questionable for tonight, as are Mitchell Robinson and R.J. Barrett, who are dealing with a non-COVID illness. There likely will be additional value from New York tonight.

Brooklyn seems to have removed Blake Griffin from the rotation and has turned to LaMarcus Aldridge as the starter. Aldridge makes for an interesting play at center, though there are several options at that position tonight, even with just 10 teams in the player pool. James Jefferson and DeAndre’ Bembry seem to be inside the top seven, while veterans Bruce Brown Jr., Paul Millsap and Jevon Carter are on the outside looking in, depending on the whims of coach Steve Nash.

Final Thoughts on NBA DFS picks for the Tuesday, Nov. 30 Slate

Tonight there is a 2 1/2-hour gap between the first two games and the triple-feature nightcap. This could be an adventure, with the Lakers, Pistons and Trail Blazers all having questionable players. Keep in mind that salaries and scoring formats differ across the various fantasy sites, and a slam-dunk play on Yahoo may be a below-average NBA DFS pick on DraftKings or FanDuel.
