Awesemo's free NBA fantasy projections for DraftKings & FanDuel lineups today with expert Boom/Bust DFS optimizer picks tonight 11/23/21

Wednesday, Nov. 10 brings a raucous 13-game main slate with all sorts of moving parts. Let’s look at the player pool and discuss the top NBA DFS picks for DraftKings, FanDuel and Yahoo lineups. Do not forget to head over to the Awesemo NBA DFS home page for more great written daily fantasy basketball content.

NBA DFS Picks: Building Blocks, Wednesday, Nov. 10

Yahoo Play of the Day — Julius Randle: New York Knicks vs. Milwaukee Bucks

  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Point Projections: Yahoo and FanDuel: 45.53 | DraftKings: 47.72
  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: Yahoo 6.6% | FanDuel 8.1% | DraftKings 7.1%
  • DFS Salary: Yahoo $43 | FanDuel $9,500 | DraftKings $10,300

There are 26 teams making up Wednesday’s player pool, so there are going to be a myriad of options up and down the salary sheet and across all the positions. This means there is no reason to force any particular player into lineups. Julius Randle will be squaring off against the Bucks, who are on a back-to-back and their third game in four nights, having played last night in Philadelphia. Much like last season, Giannis Antetokounmpo and company, are playing at a similar pace to last season when they were second in the league. New York may be without Mitchell Robinson (hip) and Nerlens Noel (back), who are both questionable. The Knicks are favored by a bucket at home against the defending champions. Through 11 games Randle is producing at a similar level across the board to last season when he had his breakout and earned his first All-Star selection.

Anthony Davis: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat

  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Point Projections: Yahoo and FanDuel: 48.48 | DraftKings: 51.58
  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: Yahoo 33.6% | FanDuel 32% | DraftKings 24.9%
  • DFS Salary: Yahoo $49 | FanDuel $10,800 | DraftKings $10,500

The longer the “game-time decision” tag is on Anthony Davis (thumb), the fewer gamers will be taking a chance on him tonight. With a little contingency planning and foresight for position management, in the event he is ruled out Stephen Curry or Karl-Anthony Towns are pivot options, and they are squaring off in the other 10 p.m. ET game. In two of his last three games, Davis has 64-plus Yahoo points. LeBron James is out, and Davis has stepped up with 17-plus field goal attempts and nine-plus rebounds in the last four games he has finished. Although Miami has been decent on defense, the Lakers are leading the league in pace this season, which should help normalize the fantasy production for Davis.

Davis is showing up well in all of the Awesemo models, tools and projections tonight. Alex Hunter has a full breakdown of why Davis is a top option tonight, as he is popping in the Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool.

Denver Nuggets vs. Indiana Pacers

Nikola Jokic has been suspended for tonight’s game for his kerfuffle with Markieff Morris on Monday. Michael Porter Jr. is out with a back injury, and Jamal Murray is out after his devastating knee injury suffered last year. Jokic is leaving behind a massive void, as he has team-leading rates for usage (30.4%), rebounding (23.4%) and assists (33.6%). This is going to open up tremendous opportunities for Will Barton, Aaron Gordon, JaMychal Green, P.J. Dozier and Jeff Green. If Monte Morris (knee) is able to return to action, he is a viable option as well.

On the other side, Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner are in play, as they should own the boards tonight against JaMychal Green and Gordon. Be aware that Turner has been on a tear that has been buoyed by his success from 3-point range. In his last four games he is 25-for-44 (56.8%) from the field and 13-for-26 (50%) from behind the arc. Malcom Brogdon is a game-time decision with a non-COVID related illness, and if he is out of commission, T.J. McConnell becomes a viable option. Even with all of their missing players, Denver is still just a 3.5-point home dog.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Washington Wizards

Be careful with Cleveland tonight, as they are popping off the page as value options in the mid-tier. Washington is much improved on defense compared to recent years, and they are no longer playing at a breakneck pace. For perspective, three times this season the Wizards have held their opponent to fewer than 100 points. That is something they only managed to do six total times over the last two seasons across 146 games.

Kevin Love is in the health and safety protocol, and Collin Sexton is out with a torn MCL. That is making Jarrett Allen, rookie Evan Mobley and the backcourt duo of Darius Garland and Ricky Rubio look like solid options tonight. There is no need to go overboard with more than two Cavaliers unless looking to make a game stack with a couple Washington players in the hopes of a freewheeling affair or, with any luck, an overtime game.

Final Thoughts on NBA DFS picks for the Wednesday, Nov. 10 Slate

Tonight is a giant slate with plenty of news likely to break and keep everyone on their toes. Friday, Monday and next Wednesday also have larger-than-usual slates, which has not happened with this frequency since prior to the pandemic. Keep in mind that salaries and scoring formats differ across the various fantasy sites, and a slam-dunk play on Yahoo may be a below-average NBA DFS pick on DraftKings or FanDuel.
