The best NBA DFS picks today for Yahoo, DraftKings & FanDuel daily fantasy basketball cash game lineups | Luka Doncic NBA Tonight 5/24/22

Tuesday, March 15, has a short four-game main slate tipping off at 7 p.m. ET on Yahoo, DraftKings and FanDuel. Let’s look at the player pool and discuss the top NBA DFS picks today for DraftKings, FanDuel and Yahoo lineups. As always, you can head over to the Awesemo NBA DFS & Fantasy Basketball home page for all the fantasy basketball content you need for any given slate.

NBA DFS Picks: Fantasy Basketball Building Blocks Today | Tuesday, March 15

Yahoo Play of the Day — Devin Booker: Phoenix Suns at New Orleans Pelicans

  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Point Projections: Yahoo and FanDuel: 44.65 | DraftKings: 46.29
  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: Yahoo 22.4% | FanDuel 20.0% | DraftKings 23.3%
  • DFS Salary: Yahoo $43 | FanDuel $10,400 | DraftKings $9,600

Devin Booker continues to rack up the fantasy points in the absence of Chris Paul. Since the All-Star Break, Booker is averaging 1.45 fantasy points per minute and a 29.4% usage rate. In these six games, the seven-year veteran has tallied 46 or more fantasy points five times. New Orleans has a league-average defense, which will not do much to impede the success of Booker tonight.

Look to Booker in this matchup against the Pelicans in the NBA player prop market. Currently he has a 3.5 over/under on his rebound prop, and Awesemo NBA player projections have him for 5.1, which gives him a 73% probability of surpassing the over. In 11 of his last 12 games, Booker has recorded at least three rebounds.

Kyrie Irving: Brooklyn Nets at Orlando Magic

  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Point Projections: Yahoo and FanDuel: 41.86 | DraftKings: 42.64
  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: Yahoo 26.6% | FanDuel 25.2% | DraftKings 12.9%
  • DFS Salary: Yahoo $40 | FanDuel $10,000 | DraftKings $10,200

It has been five days since Kyrie Irving last took the court, so he should be fresh and ready to go tonight against a poor Orlando defense. Since Kevin Durant returned to action, he and Irving have shared the court for 80 minutes, with Irving averaging 1.21 fantasy points per minute. The Yahoo salary algorithm is providing the best discount and Irving should be a lineup staple in all formats. Brooklyn has won three straight games, and they are now sitting with a 35-33 record in eighth place. The Nets are still four games behind the Cavaliers for the sixth seed and escaping the play-in games. Though they are double-digit road favorites, the Magic have been scrappy over the last three weeks, with a 5-4 record. If they manage to hang around into the final frame, we should see Irving play 34 to 36 minutes tonight.

Andre Drummond: Brooklyn Nets at Orlando Magic

  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Point Projections: Yahoo and FanDuel: 33.27 | DraftKings: 32.65
  • Awesemo’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: Yahoo 28.2% | FanDuel 32.6% | DraftKings 28.7%
  • DFS Salary: Yahoo $21 | FanDuel $5,500 | DraftKings $5,800

Through 11 starts with Brooklyn, Andre Drummond has averaged 21.6 minutes and is flirting with double-doubles every time he takes the court. He has really ramped things up over the last three games, with 23.8 minutes, 15 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.3 combined blocks/steals. Drummond has the fourth-highest median fantasy projections among tonight’s center options, and he can be had at a 30-70% discount across the various DFS sites.

Indiana Pacers vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Tyrese Haliburton has been excellent since joining the Pacers, and he has topped the 40-fantasy-point threshold in 11 of his last 12 games. Malcolm Brogdon (concussion) has been out for the last week, though even if he returns tonight, Haliburton is still a core play on the short slate. Brogdon in turn would be a viable tournament target if he is in the starting lineup. Across 13 games with Indiana, Buddy Hield is averaging a whopping 38.9 minutes and 35.8 fantasy points per game. If Goga Bitadze (toe) misses another game, look to Isaiah Jackson, Jalen Smith and Oshae Brissett for salary relief.

Ja Morant (back) is unlikely to play tonight, which means Tyus Jones will be the starting point guard and by far the top value play in the NBA fantasy world. Desmond Bane, Dillon Brooks and Jaren Jackson Jr. all would see a boost in their fantasy production as they fill the offensive void left behind by Morant. Depending on your preferred DFS site, De’Anthony Melton, Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke and Kyle Anderson all have utility depending on positional eligibility and salary cap requirements.

Final Thoughts on NBA DFS picks for the Tuesday, March 15 Fantasy Basketball Slate

All four games will be tipping off within a one-hour window, which should make for some fun scoreboard-watching antics. There are several questionable players such as C.J. McCollum, Cade Cunningham, Killian Hayes and Seth Curry, along with several Pacers that could create or cut opportunities depending on their availability.
