NBA DFS Picks & Optimal Lineup Construction | Nov. 23

Anthony Davis, PF/C, Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James is expected to serve his one-game suspension on Tuesday after his altercation with Isaiah Stewart, which means Davis and Russell Westbrook should take on starring roles. Both players have seen a bump with James off the court this season, but Davis has the clear edge between the two. He is averaging 1.46 FanDuel points per minute, while Westbrook has averaged 1.30. The gap is not quite as wide on DraftKings, but Davis still has a slight edge in that department.

Talen Horton-Tucker also becomes an intriguing option. He is averaging 1.04 DraftKings points per minute with James off the court this season, and he has played upwards of 38 minutes in games without James.

Latest NBA DFS Content

Nerlens Noel, C, New York Knicks

On the other side of that matchup, Noel stands out as an appealing value option across the industry. The Knicks have already ruled out Mitchell Robinson with a concussion, and Taj Gibson is doubtful with a groin injury. That leaves Noel to handle the majority of the center minutes. Noel has not been quite as dominant on a per-minute basis this season as he has been in years past, but he has still averaged a very respectable 0.87 DraftKings points per minute. He draws a strong matchup vs. the Lakers, who rank just 20th in defensive efficiency on the year. They also rank 22nd in team rebound rate, so Noel should be able to do some damage on the interior.

Noel is someone worth considering in the player prop market as well. Make sure to take advantage of the Awesemo Player Prop tool, which highlights the most exploitable prop bets on each slate.

Hamidou Diallo, SG/SF, Detroit Pistons

Diallo represents one of the best pure values of the day on DraftKings. He has been priced up to $5,500 on FanDuel, but he remains very affordable at $3,500 on DraftKings. The Pistons will also have plenty of minutes available on Tuesday. Isaiah Stewart is expected to start serving his two-game suspension, while Killian Hayes will miss at least two more games with a thumb injury. Kelly Olynyk is also out with a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee. The Pistons are in a tough spot vs. the Heat, but Diallo has upside. He is averaging 1.15 DraftKings points per minute over 65 minutes with Stewart, Hayes and Olynyk off the court this season. If he is overlooked by the field, he could pop in the Boom/Bust Probability tool.
