NBA Daily Fantasy Rankings from Awesemo’s Premium Big Board Tool Today | LeBron James 12/19/21

The NBA DFS Big Board is a one-stop shop for building lineups. It gives each player on the slate a Points Rating, Value Rating and Leverage Rating on a scale from 1 to 100, which allows you to easily decipher some of the top options on the slate. Let us dive into some of the NBA daily fantasy rankings using the Big Board and Awesemo’s NBA Projections.

NBA Daily Fantasy Rankings & Big Board Projections

LeBron James, PG/F, Los Angeles Lakers

DraftKings Points Rating: 96 | FanDuel Points Rating: 96

The Lakers have been one of the biggest disappointments to start the year. They rank just 20th in net rating, and they are currently just two games over .500. Things do not figure to get any easier for them moving forward. Anthony Davis is expected to miss the next four weeks with an injury, which leaves the team without their second superstar. While that is not great for the team, it should benefit James from a fantasy perspective. He has increased his usage rate by 3.8 percentage points and his assist rate by 8.2 in three games without Davis this season, and he is averaging 1.55 DraftKings points per minute in those games. James leads all players in terms of DraftKings scoring in Awesemo’s projections.

Latest NBA DFS Content

Buddy Hield, SG/SF, Sacramento Kings

DraftKings Value Rating: 85 | FanDuel Value Rating: 92

Sunday is not the same valuepalooza of other recent slates, but there are still players who stand out. Hield is one of them for the short-handed Kings. They have already ruled out De’Aaron Fox, Davion Mitchell, Terence Davis and Marvin Bagley, while Richaun Holmes is questionable. That leaves the team without a host of key contributors.

Hield saw a nice spike in playing time with all those players out of the lineup in their last game. He finished with 36.8 minutes, and while he did not take full advantage, it does bode well for his prospects moving forward. Hield is averaging 0.87 FanDuel points per minute this season, so he should be able to improve if he continues to see that much playing time. He could also provide some value in the player prop market, although not in the way one might think. His scoring prop has become a bit inflated with all the Kings’ injuries, and the Awesemo Player Prop Tool gives him a 64% chance of hitting the under on Sunday.

Trey Burke, PG/SG, Dallas Mavericks

DraftKings Value Rating: 97 | FanDuel Value Rating: 86

The Mavericks continue to play without Luka Doncic, which has allowed some other players to thrive in fantasy. Jalen Brunson has been the biggest beneficiary, but his salary has risen substantially across the industry. With that in mind, pivoting to someone like Burke makes sense. He is still dirt cheap, particularly at $3,800 on DraftKings, and he has been excellent since returning to the lineup. He has scored at least 22.0 DraftKings points in back-to-back games, including a 37.75-DraftKings-point performance against the Hornets on Monday. Burke is averaging a stout 1.11 DraftKings points per minute over the past month, so he does not need a ton of playing time to potentially return value.

Burke also stands out using the Boom/Bust Tool. He is currently projected for just 10.2% ownership on DraftKings, but he has a 20.0% optimal lineup rate. That is the fifth-highest mark among Sunday’s players, and it gives him one of the top leverage scores on the slate.
