Chris Paul, PG, Phoenix Suns

FanDuel Points Rating: 92 | FanDuel Points Rating: 92

Unsurprisingly, Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the slate in raw points in our NBA Projections. However, he’s extremely expensive across the industry, and he’s not in nearly as good of a spot as he was yesterday.

With that in mind, pivoting to someone like Paul makes a lot of sense. He stands out as a better value across the industry, and he should put together a stud-like performance with Devin Booker out of the lineup. Paul has increased his usage and assist rates with Booker off the court this season, resulting in an average of 1.33 DraftKings points per minute. We have Paul projected for 33.3 minutes on Thursday, and he can do a lot of damage with that much playing time.

One surprising area where Paul could provide some value is as a rebounder. The Awesemo Player Prop tool gives him a 68% chance of hitting the over on his current rebounding prop, making it one of the best wagers on the slate.

Tyus Jones, PG, Memphis Grizzlies

DraftKings Value Rating: 71 | FanDuel Value Rating: 96

There are many appealing value point guards on today’s slate, which could result in Jones being a bit overlooked. The new value tends to get prioritized by DFS players, which could push ownership towards players like Anfernee Simons and Cameron Payne.

That would be a mistake on FanDuel. Jones is coming off 34.1 minutes in his last outing, and he’s averaged 0.94 FanDuel points per minute with Ja Morant off the court. He’s yet to display his full upside in games without Morant, but he’s shot just 4-for-18 from the field in his past two games. He has shot 46.3% from the field and 42.9% from 3-point range this season, so he has plenty of room for improvement moving forward.

Ultimately, Jones owns a 40.2% “Boom Rate” on FanDuel using our Boom/Bust Probability Tool, which is the second-highest mark on the entire slate. It’s easily the top mark at the point guard position, edging out guys like Simons (29.6%), Paul (28.0%) and Dejounte Murray (21.1%) by significant margins.

Tre Mann, PG/SG, Oklahoma City Thunder

DraftKings Value Rating: 97 | FanDuel Value Rating: 76

Mann is yet another source of value at the guard position, and he stands out on DraftKings. He moved into the Thunder’s starting lineup in their last contest, and he finished with 32.1 minutes of playing time. Mann didn’t make the most of those minutes, finishing with just 13 DraftKings points, but it should lead to success in the future. Mann’s role as a starter should be locked in for another game with Josh Giddey out of the lineup, and he has plenty of room for improvement as a shooter. He was just 4-for-13 from the field in his last game.

Mann has averaged 0.77 DraftKings points per minute over the past month, so he has plenty of upside if he sees 30-plus minutes again on Thursday. He played just over 30 minutes off the bench two games ago, and he finished with 32.75 DraftKings points. Obviously, that kind of performance is within his range of outcomes, especially in a good matchup vs. the Grizzlies.
