DraftKings & FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Advice Today
Spencer Dinwiddie, PG/SG, Dallas Mavericks
The Mavericks will be without Luka Doncic on Wednesday, which will open up a ton of usage for the rest of the roster. Doncic leads the league with a 37.1% usage rate this season, and that figure has gotten higher as the year has progressed. He posted a ridiculous 43.1% usage rate during February, and he has averaged 32.1 points per game since Feb. 1.
When Doncic has historically been out, Jalen Brunson has emerged as the preferred NBA DFS pick. He still has some appeal, but Dinwiddie stands out as the bigger potential beneficiary. He has increased his usage rate by +10.9% with Doncic off the floor since joining the Mavericks, resulting in an average of 1.29 DraftKings points per minute.
Dinwiddie and the rest of the Mavs will also benefit from an elite matchup against the Rockets. They rank second in pace and dead last in defensive efficiency, which is the perfect combination for NBA daily fantasy purposes. Dinwiddie provides an excellent ceiling in this matchup, and he’ll also likely grade out well from a value perspective in our NBA Projections.

Tyus Jones, PG, Memphis Grizzlies
Ja Morant is another star point guard who will be out of the lineup on Wednesday. Morant has missed two of the Grizzlies’ past three games, and Jones has, unsurprisingly, started in his absence. He scored at least 28.5 DraftKings NBA points in both contests, and he has been an excellent source of value in that situation all year. He leads the team with an average of 30.3 minutes in 16 games without Morant, and he’s averaged 26.69 DraftKings points in those contests.
With that in mind, expect Jones to be a popular option at just $4,600 on DraftKings. However, his NBA DFS ownership projection may get too high, and he could own a negative leverage rating in the NBA Fantasy Boom/Bust Probability tool in that instance. There are plenty of appealing pivots at the position, so don’t become too fixated on any one player.
Davion Mitchell, PG/SG, Sacramento Kings
Mitchell rounds out our trio of point guards. The Kings made a big swing before the trade deadline, shipping Tyrese Haliburton to the Pacers in exchange for Domantas Sabonis. However, that hasn’t helped the Kings get into contention for the play-in tournament.
The Kings will be without Sabonis and likely De’Aaron Fox Wednesday, along with Richaun Holmes and Terence Davis. Mitchell is going to be asked to carry a massive workload in their absence. He led the team with a 27.9% usage rate in their last contest, and he played 46.2 minutes an overtime loss to the Suns. That was with Sabonis playing 31 minutes, so Mitchell could be asked to do even more in a great matchup against the Pacers.
Mitchell could also be worth exploring in the NBA player prop market. Make sure to take advantage of the Awesemo NBA Player Prop tool, which highlights the most exploitable NBA prop bets each day.
