Jalen Smith, PF/C, Indiana Pacers

The Pacers got tons of credit for acquiring Tyrese Haliburton before the trade deadline, but the move for Smith was a bit under the radar. That said, the No. 10 overall pick from the 2020 NBA Draft has been balling since arriving in Indianapolis. He’s averaged 13.2 points and 8.1 rebounds over 10 games with the Pacers, and he’s had three double-doubles in his past five games.

Smith has come off the bench in his past three contests, but that hasn’t stopped him from racking up an average of 31.6 minutes per game. Smith can do a lot of damage with that much playing time. He’s averaged 1.10 DraftKings points per minute over the past month.

Smith could also carry reduced ownership on Tuesday’s slate. Not only has he been priced up across the industry, but he also faces a tough matchup vs. the Cavaliers. If his ownership projection is too low, he will be an exciting leverage option in the Boom/Bust Probability tool.

Jordan Nwora, PF, Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks have the potential to be an excellent source of value on Tuesday. They have an elite matchup vs. the Thunder, resulting in a slate-high implied team total of 122.5 points. They’re also missing a few key role players at the moment. Grayson Allen, Pat Connaughton, and George Hill are out of the lineup, which opens up a few additional minutes for the rest of the roster.

Nwora is someone who should benefit. He’s coming off 26.5 minutes in their last outing, and that was with Allen racking up more than 30 minutes of his own. That means Nwora could be looking at even more playing time vs. the Thunder. Nwora has struggled a bit recently, but he’s still averaged 0.81 DraftKings points per minute this season. His minutes also feel secure even if this game turns into a blowout.

Nwora could also be worth considering in the player prop market. Make sure to take advantage of the Awesemo Player Prop tool, which highlights the most exploitable prop bets each day.
