The Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page will provide breaking news when starters are announced as well as a full injury report on players who might be missing in action. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.
Boom/Bust NBA Daily Fantasy Projections & Picks
Boom: Dejounte Murray: $9,700 DraftKings/$10,200 FanDuel
59.9% DraftKings Boom/48.3% FanDuel Boom
Tonight the Spurs will be without Derrick White, Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell due to health protocols. Take these three players off the floor this season, and Murray’s usage and assist rates rise 4.9 and 6.4 percentage points, respectively, resulting in 1.4 DraftKings points per minute. On top of the huge workload, Murray is in a spectacular spot against the Rockets. Houston ranks dead last in defensive efficiency and third in pace. In result, the Spurs boast the highest implied team on the slate (118.75 points) and this contest’s total is the second largest on the board (232 points).
Murray has supplied 50 DraftKings points per game when the Spurs have carried an implied team total of 110 points or more this season, and Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool is giving him a ceiling near 60 fantasy points tonight, which ranks second on the slate, only trailing LeBron James. Rating as the best value above $9,000 on both DraftKings and FanDuel tonight in Awesemo’s projections, Murray is a building block for all formats.
Boom: Christian Wood: $6,900 DraftKings/$7,000 FanDuel
41.4% DraftKings Boom/33.5% FanDuel Boom
Wood is another excellent value to attack in this projected shootout between the Rockets and Spurs. With a 23.7% usage rate, he is contributing 1.2 DraftKings points per minute this season. This San Antonio club he is facing ranks 20th in defensive efficiency and fifth in pace. Furthermore, they have been susceptible inside, giving up the ninth-most rebounds and fourth-most points in the paint. Houston has an implied team total of 112 points in this spot, and Wood is averaging 47.6 DraftKings points per game in the nine Rockets games in which they had implied totals of at least 110. He is extremely underpriced on both DraftKings and FanDuel and has a top-10 boom score in Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool.
Boom: Spencer Dinwiddie: $6,000 DraftKings/$7,100 FanDuel
41.4% DraftKings Boom/15.8% FanDuel Boom
Bradley Beal (health protocols) is expected to be inactive tonight, making Dinwiddie an elite target. In the seven starts he has made with Beal sidelined, Dinwiddie has been outstanding with 48.7 DraftKings points per game. In the 492 minutes he has played with Beal off the court this season, Dinwiddie’s usage has increased 4.7 percentage points, and his assist rate has skyrocketed 9.3 percentage points. With the expanded role Dinwiddie scores 1.2 DraftKings points per minute, and tonight he will be facing a Magic defense that ranks 24th in efficiency.
Dinwiddie is a safe bet for over 40 fantasy points tonight, and while he is a great option on both sites, he is a near must-play at only $6,000 on DraftKings. In Awesemo’s projections, Dinwiddie is rating as a top-10 value on the slate for DraftKings.

Boom: Lonzo Ball: $6,800 DraftKings/$7,100 FanDuel
17% DraftKings Boom/14.9% FanDuel Boom
Last night Ball delivered 42.5 DraftKings points in only 27.2 minutes of work in the blowout win over the Pistons. Now he finds himself in the top game environment of the night against the Nets. This marquee matchup sports the highest total on the slate (233 points), and the Bulls’ implied team total is the second largest on the board (117.5 points). Additionally, this game is expected to stay competitive throughout, with the Bulls only 2-point favorites.
With Alex Caruso (health protocols) out of the lineup, Ball should log 35 to 40 minutes in this nail biter. Mostly attributed to a 2.2-percentage-point boost to his assist rate, Ball scores 1 DraftKings points per minute with Caruso off the court. This is the highest total the Bulls have competed in this season, and Ball has produced 39.5 DraftKings points per game in nine Bulls games with totals of at least 220. With Awesemo projecting Ball for single-digit ownership on both DraftKings and FanDuel, he is one of the best GPP plays available for this full slate.
