Saturday brings a seven-game NBA DFS slate to dig into. With so many clubs in action, NBA fantasy lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel will be flush with high-level talent and value plays. The Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page will give you breaking news when starters are announced as well as a full injury report on players who might be missing in action. Below are some NBA daily fantasy options that stand out for tonight’s slate using Awesemo Boom/Bust Tool and NBA DFS projections.
NBA Fantasy Projections & Optimal Lineup Picks Tonight
Top Boom CandidatesÂ
Jonas Valanciunas: $7,200 DraftKings/$6,300 FanDuel | 73.5% DraftKings Boom/81.0% FanDuel Boom
It seems strange to see Jonas Valanciunas priced this low after the run he went on last season, but here we are. Let’s take advantage of it. After attempting 19 shots in the season opener, he attempted only 11 shots yesterday. Still, he is playing over 30 minutes at a modest price. Tonight, he faces off with the Timberwolves, so his size will be needed and the pace will likely be high, leading to more scoring and rebounding opportunities. We have seen Valanciunas crush in these spots in the past, like his 16-rebound game against Minnesota last year. Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool gives Valanciunas a floor of over 40 NBA fantasy points tonight.
Chris Duarte: $3,900 DraftKings/$5,500 FanDuel | 56.0% DraftKings Boom/21.7% FanDuel Boom
Indiana’s rookie was widely regarded as the most NBA-ready rookie in the draft. Through two games, he has lived up to the hype. For absolutely no reason, Chris Duarte is priced under $4,000, which makes him essentially a lock in your lineups. He has played 33 and 45 minutes in his first two games, scoring 39.25 and 30 NBA fantasy points on DraftKings, respectively. Duarte is scoring in bunches, grabbing rebounds and even dishing a few assists last game. He is far too cheap. Awesemo’s projections have him slated for 29.5 minutes again tonight.
Jimmy Butler: $9,000 DraftKings/$8,900 FanDuel | 36.8% DraftKings Boom/32.7% FanDuel Boom
It was an impressive season debut for Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat, blowing out the champs. For this reason, he was limited to only 29 minutes, but he still put up 36.5 NBA fantasy points on DraftKings. Facing a Pacers team on the second leg of a back-to-back, Butler should have his way with his opponent yet again tonight. Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool gives Butler a floor of over 38 points on both sides, with a GPP ceiling.
Top Bust Candidates
Chris Boucher: $6,200 DraftKings/$5,700 FanDuel | 82.1% DraftKings Bust/70.3% FanDuel Bust
Last season, Raptors fans and NBA fantasy players alike were loud in wanting Chris Boucher more minutes. This season, despite injuries to their frontcourt, it’s more of the same. They’re having Boucher come off the bench yet again, playing an average of 18.5 minutes across the first two games. He is overpriced for his current role, so leave him off of your lineups today.
