NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Boom Candidates
Bismack Biyombo vs. Warriors: $3,500/$3,300
21.9% DraftKings Boom/29.9% FanDuel Boom
On a slate lacking value, Biyombo instantly became one of the top plays on the slate this afternoon when Cody Zeller was downgraded to doubtful. He was questionable to play earlier in the day, and now it looks like Biyombo will return to the starting lineup tonight. As the starting center for the Hornets, he averages 27 minutes per game and 21.91 DraftKings points. These numbers don’t seem like much, but this makes Biyombo stand out a ton for a slate this size without cheap plays to turn to.

Isaiah Roby vs. Wizards: $4,900/$4,600
19.2% DraftKings Boom/36.2% FanDuel Boom
Al Horford is resting, which means we get another slate where Roby will move into the starting lineup. We have seen this situation play out a few times this season for back-to-backs. As a starter, Roby is playing 27.75 minutes per game and scoring over a fantasy point per minute. In a plus matchup against the Hawks, this has me projecting him for nearly 30 fantasy points. Foul trouble sometimes becomes an issue for Roby, but as long as stays on the court, he should return nice value for his price tag.
De’Aaron Fox vs. Pistons: $7,800/$7,700
40.4% DraftKings Boom/50.2% FanDuel Boom
Fox continues to get underpriced and make his way into my articles. This is three consecutive Kings game in which he winds up as a featured player. Fox has a top-three boom percentage on both FanDuel and DraftKings today and is my most rostered point guard on both sites in my initial builds. Shockingly, he went lower owned than expected last night. Fox projected as one of the chalkier players on the slate and only ended up with around 15% ownership across both sites. He averages over 40 fantasy points per game, so until his price gets back over the $8,000 mark, Fox is a core play for me.
NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates
Markieff Morris vs. Trail Blazers: $3,700/$3,100
66.9% DraftKings Bust/77.3% FanDuel Bust
In the Lakers’ last game, they stared Morris ahead of Kyle Kuzma in an attempt to mix things up. Los Angeles is struggling a ton since Anthony Davis went down because of a calf injury, although there is some positive news for tonight: Dennis Schroder is returning after missing time because of health-and=safety protocols. After getting blown out last game, I expect the Lakers to go back to their normal starting lineups sans Davis with Schroder at point guard and Kuzma starting at power forward. This takes away most of the value from Morris, who is currently picking up a decent amount of ownership.
