DraftKings + FanDuel Boom/Bust Projections | April 12
NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Boom CandidatesÂ
Naz Reid vs. Nets: $3,500 DraftKings/$3,900 FanDuel
77.6% DraftKings Boom/77.8% FanDuel Boom
Reid is easily the top value play on the slate. With news coming out that Karl-Anthony Towns will not play today because of personal reasons, Reid figures to start at center. Reid has played this role a handful of times this season when Towns was injured, and he returned good value. In 13 starts, Reid is playing 26.2 minutes per game and averaging 28.92 DraftKings points. He is a must-play in cash games and the best tournament option as well. There is no situation where the ownership for Reid will be too high, and gamers should plan on rostering him in all of their DraftKings lineups. He is a great play on FanDuel as well, although not necessarily an all-in play due to position.
Edit: This game has been postponed.
Bruce Brown vs. Timberwolves: $4,800 DraftKings/$5,500 FanDuel
30.3% DraftKings Boom/28% FanDuel Boom
The Nets’ vaunted offense is currently in shambles. James Harden is out due to a hamstring injury, Kyrie Irving is out as he observes Ramadan, and Kevin Durant is still on a minutes restriction as he works himself back from a hamstring injury of his own. In two games back, Durant played 19 and 24 minutes, so it’s not likely that he will play enough to have fantasy relevance. With this in mind, Brown is in line for an increased role. He is going to have to carry more playmaking duties, and his usage should see an uptick with the core of the Nets’ offense either out or limited.
Edit: This game has been postponed.

Naji Marshall vs. Kings: $3,400 DraftKings/$4,100 FanDuel
29.7% DraftKings Boom/26.2% FanDuel Boom
Lonzo Ball is out again for the Pelicans. After missing two weeks because of a hip injury, Ball returned for three games only to suffer another hip injury. He’s missed the last two games, and it’s unclear when he will return to action. In the meantime, expect Marshall to start. Josh Hart would normally start in this scenario, but he’s out for most of the rest of the season, if not all of it, because of a thumb injury. The Pelicans will likely have to make the playoffs for Hart to return to action this season. This led to Marshall starting last game, and he scored 34.25 DraftKings points against the Cavaliers in 31 minutes. Cleveland is not any good, although the Kings are another easy matchup that Marshall should take advantage of, and he remains very cheap.
NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates
Devin Booker vs. Rockets: $9,000 DraftKings/$9,400 FanDuel
69.2% DraftKings Bust/68.7% FanDuel Bust
Booker’s price keeps rising. While he is finding enough chemistry with Chris Paul to allow for both of them to have fantasy upside, this salary is a bit too rich. Booker will need around 50 fantasy points at this salary, which is a mark he’s surpassed in just four of his last 16 games. The matchup is great on paper but potentially too good. The Rockets are struggling, so the Suns are favored by 12 points. Booker might not need a full workload for the Suns to easily win this game.
