DraftKings + FanDuel Boom/Bust Projections | April 14

NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Boom Candidates

Tyrese Haliburton vs. Wizards: $6,200 DraftKings/$5,500 FanDuel

32.3% DraftKings Boom/58.1% FanDuel Boom

Haliburton has the best boom score on both FanDuel and DraftKings at the moment. After moving to a bench role, Haliburton was back in the starting lineup last game because of injuries. Buddy Hield missed the game and is listed as questionable to play tonight. This comes in addition to Richaun Holmes getting listed as doubtful since he’s dealing with a hamstring injury. With these injuries, Haliburton is in line for extra playing time, and he has one of the best matchups possible playing against the Wizards. This game has the highest total on the slate.

Christian Wood vs. Pacers: $7,900 DraftKings/$7,500 FanDuel

23.1% DraftKings Boom/39.6% FanDuel Boom

Wood is coming off one of his stronger games of the season. In a tough matchup against the Suns, he scored 25 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Despite this, his price has dipped. Wood is far removed from the ankle injury that forced him to miss time in February and is finally back to his peak form. This is also potentially a really good matchup. Myles Turner is questionable to play, and the Pacers’ defense is struggling without him. Indiana has allowed 125 or more points in three of the four games that Turner has missed.

Nikola Jokic vs. Heat: $10,600 DraftKings/$10,900 FanDuel

19.1% DraftKings Boom/23.2% FanDuel Boom

Jokic was already playing a massive role for the Nuggets, and now that is going to expand even further. Jamal Murray tore his ACL on Monday night, so Jokic is going to have to put the team on his back as Denver jockeys for playoff positioning. As is, Jokic is the betting favorite to win MVP and is close to averaging a triple-double. With Murray off the court this season, Jokic has a 34.5% usage rate and scores over 60 DraftKings points per 36 minutes. A matchup against the Heat isn’t great on paper, but Miami is playing on the tail end of a back-to-back and Jimmy Butler is questionable to play.

NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates

Paul George vs. Pistons: $9,000 DraftKings/$9,200 FanDuel

59.7% DraftKings Bust/52.1% FanDuel Bust

It is really hard to trust the Clippers in the second of a back-to-back. Kawhi Leonard sat out last night’s game with what was listed as a foot injury. This led to George carrying the Clippers offense with a 37% usage rate while scoring 36 points. For tonight, George will likely end up resting or playing limited minutes after shouldering a heavy workload last night. The Clippers could flip what they did last night by playing Leonard and resting George. If this is the case, Leonard is one of the top plays on the slate.
