Boom/Bust NBA Fantasy Projections | May 27
NBA DraftKings + FanDuel Boom CandidatesÂ
Jimmy Butler vs. Bucks: $8,400/$9,100
55.1% DraftKings Boom/42.5% FanDuel Boom
Butler has been bad through two games this series. However, he is not the type of player to roll over and give up. He should offer an energized performance in Miami. Still, he had more turnovers than made shots in Game 1, and he did pretty much nothing in Game 2. Butler needs to not only be involved more, but he also needs to clearly be in charge for the Heat to have any sort of chance. That should lead to a strong NBA fantasy performance.
Giannis Antetokounmpo vs. Heat: $10,900/$11,100
51.0% DraftKings Boom/40.3% FanDuel Boom
The Bucks dominated the Heat in Game 2, so much so that Giannis only played 30 minutes in the matchup. Despite the limited playing time, he had a 31-point double-double. Due to all of the long-range shots the Heat take, Giannis will also continue to rack up rebounds at a high clip. He is safe at his price, and the upside is very clearly there for him to boom. Giannis is the No. 1-ranked player in the Awesemo NBA DFS projections at 59.15 — almost five points more than the No. 2 player Nikola Jokic.

Nikola Jokic vs. Trail Blazers: $10,700/$10,700
46.2% DraftKings Boom/35.3% FanDuel Boom
The Trail Blazers have zero answer for Nikola Jokic. He has averaged 36 points across the first two matchups, and he is hitting shots from everywhere on the floor. Jokic should continue his domination in Portland. If the defense adjusts and attempts to double-team him more, Jokic will simply make the correct pass and be awarded with the assists — Awesemo NBA DFS stat projections have him for 7.42 projected assists tonight. For this reason, he is a safe play. The Blazers have no way to take him out of the game. Simply put, the only way Jokic will fail is if he has a massively off shooting night. The only person who can beat him his himself.
NBA DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates
Kyle Kuzma vs. Suns: $4,900/$4,200
78.3% DraftKings Bust/66.7% FanDuel Bust
This appears to be another postseason appearance where Kuzma disappoints. He played 19 minutes in each game with the Suns and has a combined 2 points, four rebounds and two assists. There is no need for him to get more minutes, and he is overshadowed by everyone else on the floor with him. While FanDuel has at least adjusted his price to where it should be, DraftKings is still expecting him to be competent. Everyone should stay away from Kuzma for NBA fantasy until further notice.
