After just a single game yesterday, we’re back to a two-game NBA fantasy slate today. One series could even, while the other could end in a sweep, so the intensity and desperation will be at an all-time high. Gamers can use the Awesemo Boom vs. Bust Tool and NBA fantasy projections to help navigate the range of outcomes for daily fantasy basketball today. The following are some of the best DFS NBA picks today on DraftKings and FanDuel based on their probabilities of booming or busting.
Boom/Bust NBA Fantasy Projections | June 13
NBA DraftKings + FanDuel Boom CandidatesÂ
Giannis Antetokounmpo vs. Nets: $10,800/$10,700
54.1% DraftKings Boom/53.1% FanDuel Boom
Game 3 was a strange offensive game for Giannis Antetokounmpo, since he put up 31 shots with eight coming from deep. In a game where points were scarce, he had a 33-point, 14-rebound double-double. The pace should be high today and the scoring should pick back up. So, a high-point double-double should also come again. Where his value has upside is that he had just two assists in Game 3, along with no steals or blocks. He should perform better in all of these categories, leading to a much better game for Giannis. If he can find a way to make free throws, it could be a massive day, which the Awesemo NBA DFS projections bear out with his 61.33-point projection today.
Jrue Holiday vs. Nets: $7,200/$7,400
49.0% DraftKings Boom/47.5% FanDuel Boom
There is no doubt about it, Jrue Holiday has been terrible for NBA fantasy this series. He has used most of his energy on defense while being passive on offense. However, to be optimistic, it feels like Holiday is due for a big game. On top of that, he has seen his price drop due to his bad performances, which is why he’s the No. 2 overall value play on the slate, according to Awesemo’s NBA DFS projections. He is fully capable of taking over this game. If either Giannis or Khris Middleton is playing poorly, we may finally see the aggressive Holiday.

Kevin Durant vs. Bucks: $10,300/$10,800
43.6% DraftKings Boom/31.9% FanDuel Boom
We’ll shift to the other side of this game for the last “boom” player. Kevin Durant struggled shooting in Game 3, while also feuding with P.J. Tucker all game long. He still had a 30-point double-double with five assists and four steals. He was a “boom” in a game where he shot 11-for-28. If he shoots a bit better while the game is still competitive, Durant could put up a massive performance and be one of the best NBA DFS picks of the slate.
NBA DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates
Monte Morris vs. Suns: $5,300/$5,800
68.2% DraftKings Bust/75.7% FanDuel Bust
Game 3 was Will Barton’s second game back from his extended absence. His minutes jumped up to 28. It ended up not affecting Monte Morris much, since he had the hot hand shooting. However, if Morris is not shooting as one of the most efficient Nuggets, he will likely see low-20s for minutes. He is also directly competing with Austin Rivers and Facundo Campazzo for these minutes, so those playing Morris also have to hope the other two guys aren’t having a hot shooting night. Morris’ price is too high, and given all these obstacles, it’s a no-brainer why he’s got a -5.11 value score in today’s NBA DFS projections.
