NBA Fantasy Picks Today: DraftKings & FanDuel Fantasy Basketball Rankings

This nine-game NBA slate features the potential for a very high-scoring night. There is so much mid-range value on this slate, which may be the key to lineup builds tonight. Every player in this article has an A-value on FanDuel. These four players are driven by Awesemo’s Fantasy Basketball Rankings. There are a few questionable players, but not many on this slate. However, it is always important to stay up to date on Awesemo’s NBA Starting Lineups page to see who is in and out of the lineup tonight.

DraftKings & FanDuel NBA Fantasy Basketball Rankings

PG Luka Doncic — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

Luka Doncic is the best pay-up option on this nine-game slate. Awesemo NBA projections have Doncic to have the most fantasy points tonight of anyone on the slate. His salary on FanDuel is borderline disrespectful. It is rare to see someone this highly priced come in as the second-best value. Doncic continues to lead the league in usage rate and field goal attempts per game. He is averaging 3.9 more points per game when playing at home. Doncic has the highest boom percentage on DraftKings and second-highest on FanDuel in our NBA DFS Boom/Bust Tool.

The Mavericks have won eight of their last 11 games, but the Timberwolves are the hottest team since the All-Star Break. This is a massive pace-up spot, as the Timberwolves play at the fastest pace in the league, while the Mavericks bring up the rear. The Mavericks are 2.5-point home favorites, as this total is set at 230.5 points. This is a massive game in terms of seeding for the Western Conference. Doncic will be heavily involved, as he leads the Mavericks in minutes, points, rebounds, assists and steals this season. Fade at your own risk.

PF Kyle Kuzma — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

Kyle Kuzma was a late scratch in the Wizards game on Saturday, but they were still able to beat the pitiful Lakers on the road. Kuzma is expected back tonight, as the Wizards are 5.5-point road favorites against the Rockets, implied to score 119.75 points. This game features the second-highest total on the slate at 234 points, as the Rockets rank last in defensive rating, allowing a league-high 118.5 points per game. The Rockets continue to be the best matchup for opposing teams and tonight should be no different.

Kuzma leads the way in our Fantasy Basketball Rankings as the best option on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Kuzma has not put up over 40 DraftKings points in six-straight games but has a great chance to get back on track tonight. The addition of Kristaps Porzingis seems to have put a damper on Kuzma’s ceiling recently, however, his salary has decreased to a point where he is too difficult to ignore. Kuzma is the best value play by far on FanDuel in our NBA Fantasy projections and has the highest boom percentage in our NBA DFS Boom/Bust Tool.

PG Cade Cunningham — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

Cade Cunningham is one of the most popular plays on the slate. Our NBA DFS ownership projections have him with the highest ownership on FanDuel at 43% and second-highest on DraftKings. He will be tough to get away from at his cheap salary given the upside that he provides. Jerami Grant is out for the Pistons which immediately boosts Cunningham’s ceiling. Over the last five games, Cunningham is averaging 23 points, 8.4 assists, 6.6 rebounds and 46.4 DraftKings points while playing an absurd 40 minutes per game.

The playing time is what really sets Cunningham apart from the rest of the options in his price range. The matchup against the Trail Blazers is another added positive. They rank 29th in defensive rating, allowing a ridiculous 125.7 points per game in their last 11 games since the All-Star Break. The Trail Blazers are running out make-shift lineups that Cunningham should feast on. Cunningham has a higher ceiling on FanDuel shown in our Boom/Bust Tool as he has the third-highest boom percentage behind Doncic and Kuzma.

Cunningham is shaping up as one of the best NBA DFS picks today at the small forward position. The NBA lineup optimizer is putting him in the optimal lineup quite frequently. C Drew Eubanks — Grades: B, B | Values: B, A

Sticking in the same game, the focus shifts to Drew Eubanks. The salary is rising, but Eubanks is one of the best values on the slate. He is center-only eligible on DraftKings but has dual eligibility on FanDuel. Over the last five games, Eubanks is averaging 15.2 points and nine rebounds per game while shooting 66.7% from the field. He has even shot a perfect 8-of-8 from the charity stripe. The Trail Blazers were in the hunt for the last playoff spot, but that dream has faded as they have lost 10 of their last 11 games since the All-Star Break.

This matchup against the Pistons is fantastic for opposing bigs. They have the worst rebounding percentage in the league while allowing the seventh-most points in the paint. The Pistons are coming off a game where they allowed 64 points in the paint against the Cavaliers. Eubanks is not nearly as good as the Cavaliers’ bigs, but he has been very productive lately. Awesemo NBA projections have Eubanks to be the fifth-best value option on DraftKings. While he is preferred on FanDuel, he is a great play across all platforms at his salary.
