Expert NBA Fantasy Rankings & DFS Value Plays Today for DraftKings & FanDuel | 3/29/22

Tonight features a five-game NBA slate that is filled with injury news. Paul George may even be returning tonight, but that game tips off two hours after every other game. It will be critical to stay up to date on Awesemo’s NBA Starting Lineups page to see who is in and out of the lineup tonight. These four players below are driven by Awesemo’s Fantasy Basketball Rankings and will provide plays from every pricing tier.

DraftKings & FanDuel NBA Fantasy Basketball Rankings

*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. The initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.

PF Kristaps Porzingis — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

Kyle Kuzma has been out for five straight games, which has allowed Kristaps Porzingis to find his groove with the Wizards. Kuzma is out again, which will solidify the usage rate for Porzingis. In the last five games without Kuzma, Porzingis is averaging 23.6 points, 8.8 rebounds and 47.1 DraftKings points per game. His minutes are rather low at 30.6 per game due to blowouts or foul trouble, but his usage rate is 34.8% per game during that time. Porzingis has the second-highest boom percentage in Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool on DraftKings.

The Bulls have been struggling lately, losing 11 of their last 16 games since the All-Star Break. Over that time, they rank 23rd in defensive rating and 27th in rebounding percentage, allowing 114 points per game. Their defense has taken a major step back. The Wizards are four-point home underdogs, which is a bit surprising looking at the Bulls 43-32 record. Porzingis should thrive in this matchup. He will be quite popular as he ranks in the top five in Awesemo’s ownership projections for both DraftKings and FanDuel, but it is deserving.

PG Luka Doncic — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

The most popular player on the slate in Awesemo’s NBA DFS ownership projections for both DraftKings and FanDuel tonight is Luka Doncic. The Mavericks are double-digit favorites at home against the Lakers, who may be without LeBron James and Anthony Davis, as they are both doubtful. If both James and Davis miss, this could be a route for the Mavericks. Similar to the Bulls, the Lakers have been awful since the All-Star Break, losing 12 of their 16 games while allowing 121.3 points per game. This is a great spot to target the high usage of Doncic.

There are several really good pay-up options, but Doncic seems to have the best matchup and does not have another star playing alongside him. He ranks in the top five on both sites for the highest boom percentage in Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool on this slate. This is a pace-up spot for the Mavericks, who rank last in pace. The Lakers rank seventh in pace and 20th in defensive rating this season. The Lakers also allow the fourth-most assists and fifth-most rebounds per game. Doncic will be a legit threat to triple-double in this matchup tonight.

PF Marvin Bagley III — Grades: B, B | Values: A, A

One of the best value options in Awesemo’s Fantasy Basketball Rankings, especially on DraftKings, is Marvin Bagley III. The Pistons are 14-point road underdogs against the Nets tonight and will be playing without Jerami Grant and Hamidou Diallo. In three games without Grant, Bagley is averaging nearly a double-double with 20.7 points and nine rebounds per game while shooting 63.2% from the field. Bagley has had back-to-back games scoring 25 or more points and over 37 DraftKings points while shooting 70% from the field.

Awesemo projects Bagley to play 31.4 minutes and be the second-best value on DraftKings. He also ranks second on DraftKings in ownership and third in boom percentage. Prioritize Bagley on DraftKings over FanDuel tonight. It can be tough to target anyone who is on a team projected to get blown out. It does help that this game features the highest total on the slate at 234.5 points, as the Pistons are still implied to score 110.25 points. They may have a difficult time competing, but Bagley still provides a great source of value.

SF Wenyen Gabriel — Grades: C, C | Values: A, A

As previously mentioned, the Lakers will likely be without James and Davis tonight as they are heavy road underdogs. Wenyen Gabriel has been a pleasant surprise, especially when he is in the starting lineup. He has started four games for the Lakers and in those starts he is averaging 9.5 points, five rebounds and 19.5 DraftKings points per game. Gabriel has recorded over 20 DraftKings points in three of those four games. Awesemo projects Gabriel to be the best value on FanDuel and fourth-best on DraftKings.

The best value right now on DraftKings in Awesemo’s projections is Dwight Howard, but this matchup feels as though Howard would be played off the court. Gabriel has not had a double-double yet, but tonight may be as good of a chance as he can get, as the Mavericks rank 23rd in rebounding percentage since the All-Star Break. Do not get too carried away with the Lakers’ value, as they are implied for a slate-low 103.25 points. Gabriel is cheap exposure with upside, as he has the third-highest boom percentage in Awesemo’s NBA Fantasy Boom/Bust Tool on FanDuel.
