DraftKings & FanDuel NBA Fantasy Rankings Today

*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. The initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.

C Drew Eubanks — Grades: C, C | Values: A, A

Leading the way in Awesemo’s NBA DFS Rankings tonight is San Antonio Spurs center Drew Eubanks. Not only will the Spurs be without starting center Jakob Poeltl, but backup center Jock Landale is also out, solidifying the playing time for Eubanks. Both Poeltl and Landale played last game, which is why Eubanks only had five minutes of playing time. Awesemo projects Eubanks to play 26 minutes tonight and be the best value play on DraftKings and FanDuel. The Spurs are six-point home favorites against the Miami Heat, who have plenty of injuries tonight as well.

Eubanks is also popping in Awesemo’s boom/bust probability tool where he has by far the highest boom percentage on both sites. He is center-only eligible on DraftKings, but center and power forward eligible on FanDuel, which makes him easy to fit into lineups. According to Awesemo’s ownership projections, the field is getting to more of Eubanks on DraftKings, where he is over 10 percent more popular than the next-closest player. The matchup is tough, as the Heat rank seventh in defensive rating and 29th in pace. However, the minutes and price tag are far too cheap to get away from Eubanks tonight.

PF Isaiah Hartenstein — Grades: D, D | Values: A, A

The battle of Los Angeles! There will be value for the Los Angeles Clippers at their power forward and center position. Narrowing down who that value play is will be important and will likely be due to the status of Ivica Zubac. As of right now, Zubac is listed as questionable. which is leading to Isaiah Hartenstein popping as another great value play tonight. He has yet to start a game this season but may need to if the Los Angeles Lakers start Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard together as they did in the second half of last night’s game. Keep a close eye on the Clippers and Lakers starting lineups.

Hartenstein not only leads the Clippers in DraftKings points per minute, but he is also averaging a career-high with 1.17 per game. Despite playing on his fourth team in four years, Hartenstein has played very well in limited minutes. He is currently second behind Eubanks for the highest boom percentage on DraftKings. If Zubac is unable to go, expect that number to rise. The Lakers present a great matchup as they rank third in pace and fourth in points allowed with 112.2 per game. The Clippers are home favorites and finding a piece of this team, especially in the frontcourt will be necessary.

PG Stephen Curry — Grades: A, A | Values: C, B

With those two value plays listed above, there is plenty of salary to go around to pay up for Stephen Curry on DraftKings. FanDuel is where he is most intriguing, as he is still underpriced at $9,300. Our ownership projections have Curry as the highest-owned player on FanDuel. It seems as though Curry has gotten a little bit of his swagger back as he shot an incredible 13-for-23 from the field and 7-for-14 from behind the arc in his last game against the Houston Rockets. He poured in 40 points and 66.8 DraftKings points.

The blowout risk is a little concerning with the Golden State Warriors, as they are 13.5-point home favorites against the Sacramento Kings. The Warriors are implied for a slate-high 118.75 points, as they are still without Draymond Green. Even though Curry’s numbers are worse without Green in the lineup, this matchup makes up for that. The Kings rank 29th in defensive rating and eighth in pace this season. They have allowed the third-most points with 114.5 per game, while opponents are shooting a ridiculous 47.3 percent from the field. Curry is the best pay-up option on the slate.

PG Russell Westbrook — Grades: A, A | Values: C, B

Going back to the battle of Los Angeles, but this time on the Lakers’ side with Russell Westbrook. Deciding between Westbrook and Anthony Davis was very difficult, but after providing two centers already, Westbrook was the best route. After speaking to Curry and his value on FanDuel, Westbrook’s is even better. Awesemo projects Westbrook to have the best value on FanDuel of anyone priced $6,500 or higher tonight. Westbrook also has a higher boom percentage than Curry but comes just under him in ownership. The spread in this game is also much closer than in Golden State.

Rostering Westbrook can be an absolute rollercoaster. His 18.7 points per game this season is his lowest scoring output since the 2009-’10 season. However, his durability is a big asset. He has played in every game this season, while Davis and LeBron James have combined to miss 37 games. James is doubtful to play tonight. In 16 games without James in the lineup this season, Westbrook is averaging 21.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game. He has a 30.3 percent usage rate and is averaging 48.1 DraftKings points per game. He is always risky but has elite upside.
