🏀 SuperDraft NBA Fantasy Picks for Wednesday, 2/24

San Antonio, we have a problem. The Spurs will have to play tonight’s game without three starters (potentially four). Ironically, they’ll take on the Thunder, a team that found themselves in a similar predicament just a few weeks ago. Assuming the game gets played, value abounds on San Antonio’s roster, and you should include multiple Spurs in your  NBA SuperDraft lineup.

If you haven’t heard of SuperDraft, it’s an innovative new way to play DFS. Instead of using a salary cap, players receive multipliers that inversely correspond to their value. For example, Stephen Curry will come with a lower multiplier because he should play most of the game. In comparison, a rotational player like Jae Crowder will receive a higher multiplier to compensate for his limited minutes.

Top Five Low-Multiplier Plays

Using Awesemo’s SuperDraft NBA Projections and OddsShopper’s projected point totals, here are the top five high-value players for your NBA SuperDraft lineup. For a player to qualify, they must have a multiplier at or below 1.35x.

Dejounte Murray (1.35x)

It may not have a high posted total (217), but the battle between the Thunder and Spurs is a fantastic game to target. San Antonio will have to play without at least three starters, and that’ll put the onus on Murray to score points. Expect to see a bunch of Gregg Popovich’s players in this column.

LeBron James (1x)

James has had to carry the Lakers since Anthony Davis went down. Fortunately for Los Angeles, Dennis Schroder is expected to return soon. Unfortunately, that may take until Friday. Assuming Schroder continues to miss time, James should continue to post boatloads of points at SuperDraft.

Bam Adebayo (1.2x)

Adebayo is in a good spot here, as the Raptors give up lots of points to power forwards — and they’re on a back-to-back. Our projections rank Adebayo sixth overall for tonight’s slate, too.

Jerami Grant (1.3x)

The total for Detroit’s battle with New Orleans sits at a respectable 223.5 at some sportsbooks, and the Pelicans have the highest over percentage in the NBA (73.3%). We could see a good chunk of points in this one, and Grant should lead the charge for the Pistons in the scoring department.

Brandon Ingram (1.25x)

Ingram has a marginally higher multiplier than Zion Williamson (1.2x), and our projections favor the two for roughly the same amount of base fantasy points. With that in mind, Ingram makes the better target for New Orleans tonight.

Top Five High-Multiplier Plays

I’ll also use Awesemo’s SuperDraft NBA Projections and OddsShopper’s projected point totals to identify the top five low-value players for tonight’s slate. Only players with multipliers at or above 1.65x will qualify.

Patty Mills (1.8x)

Like I said above, expect to see quite a few Spurs on this list. Mills is one of just four healthy guards on the roster, and he should see a bunch of run in this one at a high multiplier.

LaMarcus Aldridge (1.65x)

Aldridge is questionable for San Antonio, so make sure to double-check his status before submitting your NBA SuperDraft lineup. That said, he may have to play a healthy number of minutes if he suits up, and he makes a good target at this multiplier.

Lonnie Walker (1.8x)

Walker is one of the best targets at DraftKings and FanDuel tonight, but his multiplier on SuperDraft means that he ranks lower than Mills. Walker is the third-best guard out of San Antonio’s four, and he even throttled the Thunder for 24 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists back in mid-January.

Anthony Edwards (1.65x)

This year’s first overall pick has quite the high multiplier heading into his matchup with the fast-paced Bulls. He may have to do more work than usual to keep Minnesota in this game, especially since the team is on the wrong end of a back-to-back.

Saddiq Bey (1.8x)

I mentioned earlier that I like the Pistons and Pelicans tonight, and Bey is no exception. Our projections like him too, as he slots in right behind Edwards in tonight’s rankings.

Five SuperDraft NBA Fades

Here are some players that players do our projections say you should avoid when building your NBA SuperDraft lineup.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker (1.8x)

Alexander-Walker’s multiplier is set far too low for a guy who hasn’t played more than 10 minutes in weeks. You can safely leave him out of your lineup.

Dario Saric (1.8x)

The Suns have pivoted to a three-person rotation at power forward, and that’s left fewer opportunities for Saric to see the court. While he did have a strong showing in the blowout win over the Trail Blazers, I wouldn’t trust him at this multiplier.

Hamidou Diallo (1.4x)

Diallo should have an easy time against a short-handed Spurs roster, but he has fallen off considerably now that the Thunder have gotten healthier, and he didn’t score a single point his last time on the court.

Goran Dragic (1.65x)

Dragic hasn’t seen the court in weeks, so even if the Heat choose to use him tonight, I would let him build some rhythm before including him in any DFS lineups.

Chris Boucher (1.25x)

Boucher’s multiplier is set far too high. He is projected for 28.4 base fantasy points, which sandwiches him between Montrezl Harrell (1.65x) and Josh Jackson (1.65x), so you can find better value elsewhere.
