Chris Randone’s Fantasy Football Likes and Dislikes for Week 6 (FREE)

It’s Week 6 and I’m back with my NFL DFS Fantasy Football Likes and Dislikes for this weeks main slate. Players I like this week are the LOCKS that I think will exceed daily fantasy statistical benchmarks. FADES are the players I don’t like that fall short of expectations. Pretty simple. This won’t be about obvious names, it’s greater than that. We’ll take an inside look that’s deeper than just the name and projection. Let’s dive into some NFL DFS Picks on DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo, and FantasyDraft.

Week 6 NFL DFS LOCKS

Dede Westbrook ($5,100 DraftKings, $5,400 FanDuel, $16 Yahoo)

The New Orleans Saints are extremely effective at shutting down outside wide receiver presence but struggle against the slot across the middle of the field. New Orleans surrenders the most fantasy points per game (22) to slot wide outs on this season. P.J. Williams has struggled for the Saints covering the slot. The wide receivers in the slot against the Saints this season:

Chris Godwin 7-152-2

Tyler Lockett 11-154-1

Cooper Kupp 5-120-1

Kenny Stills 3-37-1

The next man up is Dede Westbrook, who is coming off a 7:82 game on 11 targets. The Jaguars wide out runs 85.8 percent of his routes in the slot. There’s no question Westbrook will have his opportunities against a weak area of the Saints defense. Westbrook’s price point makes him a valuable lock for GPP and is projected to be sub three percent owned per Awesemo’s ownership projections.

Mark Ingram ($6,600 DraftKings, $7,500 FanDuel, $27 Yahoo)

Anytime we have an opportunity to roster a running back against the worst run defense, we must take notice. The Cincinnati Bengals are surrendering 41.1 fantasy points per game to the running back position, the worst in all of football. Baltimore’s strength is Cincinnati’s weakness, the running game. The Ravens come into this matchup as the number two rushing offense in the league. Mark Ingram is averaging 15 carries per game and five yards per carry this season. The Ravens back has also accounted for 16 red zone rushes through five games (3.2 per game). Ingram’s red zone rushing attempts bodes well for a Bengals defense that have given up second-most touchdowns to running backs (seven) this season. Ingram’s projected ownership is sub-10 percent on both FanDuel & DraftKings.

Christian Kirk ($5,200 DraftKings, $5,600 FanDuel, $16 Yahoo)

Last week we saw a WR2 in Will Fuller torch the Atlanta Falcons struggling secondary. In fact, the Atlanta Falcons give up 23.9 fantasy points per game to the WR2 position (worst in NFL). Christian Kirk is listed at limited but is projected to play. If Kirk takes the field, he draws an excellent matchup in Isaiah Oliver. The Falcons corner has been smoked this year for 20/299/3 and a passer rating of 120.6 when thrown his way.

If Kirk is on the field, there’s no doubt he’ll have volume as the Cardinals receiver has 37 targets in four games. Kirk’s price point is more than affordable but it’s the pivot play from Larry Fitzgerald I’m more interested in. Fitzgerald is projected to be third-highest receiver owned on DraftKings and highest-owned on FanDuel, per Awesemo’s ownership projections. If Kirk plays, this pivot marks a great spot for contrarian purposes, salary relief, but also presents a great matchup for the price point and volume.

Michael Gallup ($5,600 DraftKings, $6,100 FanDuel, $21 Yahoo)

Just like the Falcons, the New York Jets have struggled heavily with the WR2 position. The Jets rank dead last in yards per game (97.3) given up to the WR2 position and struggling Darryl Roberts should see Michael Gallup a ton in this matchup. The Jets corner has a 22/220/3 line this year to opposing wide receivers and should see plenty of action with Gallup’s 9.3 targets per game. All eyes will be on Cooper, which makes sense, but this is a great NFL DFS GPP pivot or add on if you’re stacking the Dallas passing game against the Jets’ weak secondary.

Week 6 NFL DFS FADE

Dalvin Cook ($8,400 DraftKings, $8,200 FanDuel, $32 Yahoo)

Listen, I’m all about talent over everything. I’m not saying Dalvin Cook is a complete fade or is a horrible play. I’m saying that the Philadelphia Eagles rushing defense might be getting overlooked. The Eagles rank second in rushing yards allowed (52.8) per game on the ground and the fewest rushing yards this season. But when you dig deeper, the Eagles lead the league in stuffing 32 percent of opponents runs at or behind the line of scrimmage. It’s not just the defensive matchup that worries me a little; it’s the ownership Cook is drawing. If Cook was low-owned this week, I’d want to attack this play, but Cook is projected to be a top-three-owned running back on DraftKings and FanDuel. With the matchup not being the best along with high ownership, the play might be just to fade and focus elsewhere.
