Jake Hari breaks down the eNFL DFS slate for our Madden 20 Sim on Monday April 6 between the Colts vs. Chargers

Monday’s games featured a battle of two teams with new quarterbacks: the Colts (Philip Rivers) and the Chargers (Tyrod Taylor). We’ll do a quick recap on what happened in today’s games and the winning FanDuel Single-Game Lineup. And don’t forget to check back Thursday for Rams vs. Falcons at 9:15 p.m. EST!

First Quarter

Rivers marching right down the field to start. Zach Pascal with a big gainer to get down to the 11 yard line. Rivers with a scary throw in the back of the end zone but gets away with it. He completes to Marlon Mack for about 7 yards to get to fourth-and-2 on the 3-yard line.

Colts decide to take the 3 points. 3-0 Indy.

Taylor showing off the wheels early. He takes off for a first down on second-and-11. Rushing quarterbacks have had success in these sims. Austin Ekeler getting all the carries early as he’s up to four for 20 yards.

Second Quarter

Taylor can’t quite make it to the end zone on third-and-goal, so the Chargers will take 3 points of their own to tie it up.

Nothing doing for the Colts on a short three-and-out.

A couple nice completions to Mike Williams, who looks like Taylor’s top target right now. Chargers miss a 60-yard field goal attempt with 3 minutes remaining.

Rivers has had a lot of time to throw during this game, but he’s is yet to find T.Y. Hilton.

Jack Doyle with the catch down to the red zone but he fumbles. Chargers ball with a minute to go In the half. On a third-and-9, Taylor decides to try to run for a first, but he’s stopped. Colts use a timeout to try to get a score before the half.

Rivers hands it off to Mack twice, and he gets nothing. This will do it for the second quarter. 3-3 at half. Ekeler with 10 carries in the first half, but just 34 yards. Marlon Mack averaging under two yards per carry.

Third Quarter

Ekeler is stuffed for a loss of two, but redeems himself to get to third-and-inches. He gets it again on third, and makes a great juke to pick up the first. Ekeler getting fed early in the third quarter.

Williams looking fantastic, and now Keenan Allen picks up 21. Ekeler walks it in from 10 yards out. 15 carries for him so far this game, and he looks like the favorite for the MVP slot on FanDuel. 10-3 Chargers.

Hilton finally makes his first appearance of the game, and it’s a big one. He picks up 20 yards on third-and-long. Colts across midfield. Mack with just 21 yards on 10 carries through three quarters.

Fourth Quarter

Third-and-5, Rivers takes a sack. Colts will punt this one away near midfield. Colts need to come up with a big stop if they want to stay alive here.

Huge play to Keenan Allen who makes a man miss on the sideline and he’ll strut into the end zone. 17-3 Chargers on the 55-yard touchdown from Taylor, who is a perfect 14-14 with 191 yards and that scoer.

Colts need a score and quick with under five minutes to go.

Rivers take another sack as he’s having trouble getting rid of the ball, but it ultimately won’t matter. He finds Pascal for a 57-yard touchdown. Brand new game here at 17-0 with 2:50 remaining.

Now the Colts will need a stop to try to tie or win this one. Ekeler stopped for a loss on first. Andre Patton brings it to third-and-1 with a 10-yard grab, and Ekeler busts out a 13-yard gain up the middle. That might do it with 1:55 left, as the Colts have to use a timeout to stop the clock.

Colts make a huge stop on third down, so they get it back with 1:02 remaining.

Parris Campbell picks up 15 yards, and then Campbell again picks up another big chunk. Clock is ticking down. Colts get the ball snapped with just five seconds left, Rivers tries to buy time, but he’s sacked! Game over, 17-10 Chargers.

The Winning Lineup

A 57-way tie for first on FanDuel. Keenan Allen, who was invisible for most of the game, ends up in the winning lineup at the MVP slot. He was looking like the biggest bust on the slate until late in the third quarter. The lineup was a three-man Chargers stack (Allen-Ekeler-Taylor) with Zach Pascal and Jack Doyle. We would have had way fewer ties if not for the big Allen touchdown at the end of the game. However, once again, a QB-WR stack takes it down with a great lineup that didn’t get too cute.
